Traditional French cuisine. Seasonal dishes. Lovely atmosphere. Service could be better. But overall a pleasant dining experience.

While in Versailles on business I would just walk around the restaurant area looking for places to dine. A menu posted out front with English was a big plus for me. While reading the menu out in front of Le Boeuf a friendly waiter encouraged me to come inside. I started with an appetizer of Escargot which was excellent. I... More

Lovely quaint authentic bistro, with a great menu. Can recommend the beef bourguignon, served in cast iron bowls and truly delicious. We outside and they provide warm blankets. Perfectly located and secluded in a small square near the ecntra of versailles.

Again, a revisit here. The rognons de veau were absolutely brilliant as was the fillet steak. However the service has gone downhill and it was almost down to Fawlty Towers standard- not only towards us but also towards the locals. Hopefully just an off day at the office for the staff- but the food remains very good !

We went there with a group of friends, didn't have a reservation but they found a nice table for us. I ordered a ribeye (entrecote) steak with fries. The fries were really good, the ribeye unfortunately not so much. Very tough and not cooked to order. A had a very nice Rioja and as a surprise I got some serrano... More

We only had three nights on a recent vacation to Versailles France. The second night we found this most charming sidewalk bistro. At 7 pm all the tables were covered with white cloths and dinner was now ready to be offered. Before 7pm it is strictly bistro faire and drinks and coffee. As it happened we were enjoying some wine... More

I had the opportunity to have a wonderful meal here on my last night in France. My husband, 2 friends and myself were staying in Versaille, and decided to forgo the Gordon Ramsey restaurant at our hotel and go for something more authentic french. What a great choice, the maitre de (a lovely lady) welcomed us with open arms and... More

I came here as part of a business conference and enjoyed the meal very much. The chef's homemade terrine was especially nice, and the creme brûlée for dessert, too.

The centre of Versailles around the square has many restaurants. On the outside there is not much to distinguish one from the next. This one specializes in beef. The bourgogne had been on the stove likely for hours so it was very tender. The waiter admitted that copious quantities of cheap wine were used to cook it. The flavour was... More
