My family and I really liked that this was a local restaurant, away from some of the other tourist traps we passed. There were definitely tourists who had heard about it just as we did, but you didn't feel like that inside. The staff spoke fairly good English - although my dad's order was completely wrong. However, not to be... More

We arrived at Breizh Cafe at noon on a Friday. The restaurant was full and we were told we should try back around 2:30 pm. When I said that was too late, we were told we could try the little cafe next door (which was also a little shop) because they have the same menu. We waited for approximately 30... More

We came across this place as it was near our hotel. Unfortunately it was booked for the Friday so we booked to come back another time. Definitely worth the wait! Great selection of crepes on the menu, both sweet and savoury. Look forward to returning when I’m next in Paris.

Recently went on Sunday without having a reservation, we decided to try our luck by coming early around 11.45ish, we were lucky to get a table outside. The service was great we ordered 2 buckwheat crepes, I chosed from the special daily menu while my hubby ordered the Cancalaise - with smoked herring and caviar, both were excellent. We shared... For sure, the crepes are very good. However unfortunately, the place is not very welcoming nor does it have much ambiance (which is hard to do in Paris!). The décor itself is ordinary, the staff busy and not very friendly and there is absolutely no atmosphere. It's really too bad as the choices, variety and taste are all very good.

Exceptional as always. We make it a regular stop here every time we visit Paris. It always delights us with amazing crepes and excellent service.

We had a savory crepe with white asparagus, smoked duck breast, cheese and a fried egg. It was very good. And the buckwheat crepe is outstanding. Probably the best crepe in Paris.

I wanted to visit this restaurant after seeing Aisha Tyler's visit to the restaurant on "The Getaway" on the Esquire Network. Although not fancy, this was my favorite meal in Paris. After a day at the Picasso Museum, my friend and I enjoyed a duck, cheese and egg buckwheat crepe, and a bruleed banana and honey crepe. Ugh, just delicious.

This is arguably the best crepe restaurant in Paris. If you want better, you have to travel out to Brittany. We've eaten here many times and often take visiting friends there for either lunch or dinner. It's a small restaurant and very popular, so if you want to be sure to get in, you MUST make a reservation - at... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
