Excelent, probably the best souflé of Paris !

Crowdy point because of the excelence in souflé (but my kids ordered meat and got i nice one). Cheese and caramel was my choices, and i loved both. Fantastic. A bit expensive, but worthy. French cuisine for french customers.

The decor has changed. I liked it better before but I wasn't there for that. The soufflés continue to be phenomenal. Had a minor screwup with some of the staff but the manager quickly rectified it and bought us a round of cognacs to make up for it. I wish they put the bottle of Grand Marnier on the table... More

My friend and I were looking forward to going back to this restaurant which we remembered fondly from about 4 years ago. We were very disappointed. The restaurant had a cold, downscale atmosphere. Our waiter was beyond disappointing. He alternately ignored us or argued with us. I'm not sure which was worse. The place has really gone downhill; for example,... More

I love soufflés and both the spinach avocado asparagus one and the toffee one were delicious. The value is also beyond expectations on this area of Paris - not to forget the chef who is super!

I must admit that I live a few doors away... I enjoy the new formula from Gérard (Chef and Owner of the restaurant). He is now focusing on what he knows best and what we love most. His new menu is more focused but also offers more subtle choices if you like healthy and detox starters so that you can... More

Once a year during our stay in Paris we are used to visit this restaurant. Booking a table for Lunch or Dinnner was a must. This time we were advised to show up and ,they would have found a table for us. Lunchtime 2nd Dicember 13.00 . Place were available and warm welcome. we have been given the choice either... More

Yes, it's undergone a change, toward higher prices and cold neon ambiance. We were severely disappointed by our experience, perhaps even more so because we remember the warm and welcoming old "La Cigale Recamier." Gone are the white linen tablecloths and napkins, replaced by paper and hard surfaces, along with prices increases ($60+/person) and nouvelle cuisine names for old classics... More

The place, which was always a favorite in Paris -- and attracted local and international celebrities -- has gone through a major revamping. Its decor is new, sleeker and more modern, with a design, streamlined atmosphere. Its menu has also been revamped: the restaurant still serves its famous soufflés -- really the best anywhere, and the most original -- but... More

Largely driven by the desire to find somewhere for my vegetarian partner and mainly calls that resulted in nothing suitable for vegetarians and meat eaters we came across this place. Based solely on their Soufflé menu, they have a wide selection of vege options such as cheese/mushroom/spinach Soufflés as well as meat (chicken/lamb e.t.c). We were late arrivals at about... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
