I love this place, discovered on an earlier trip to Paris a few years ago. The service is typically French, in other words dismissive, verging on rude, particularly if you are not French. The soufflés though are like food for the soul. My last baby had left for university and feeling bereft Paris and soufflé were the answer. The mushroom... More

Make a reservation and try to go early or later avoiding the peak hours. This place is a must every time a go to Paris. My favorite meal is Ravioli petits legumes, filet de boeuf and of course the Soufflé au grand Marnier! The staff is moody and I don't mind. You are in Paris it is part of the... More

A new visit at La Cigale, and still the same warm ambiance and great food, for a sweet price ! As always, the soufflés are incredibly creative and they change from season to season, but everything else is also very good, not to speak about the fantastic deserts. Some people complain about the staff, and truth is they can go... More

This is what could be described as a "typical" Parisian restaurant with one major difference. The truly amazing soufflé’s. On arrival my host politely asked for another, more quiet table and was treated like he asked the most terrible thing imaginable. The entire staff are not the friendliest people in the World but that seems all part of the "show".... More

We had two very good starters which were tasty and well plated. However, they were slow to deliver the bread needed and then only a few slices which was too little for our starters. I had a cheese soufflé which seemed to lack cheese and must have been left in a warmer as it was not fresh from the oven.... More

It's actually a favourite normally as the good is usually great Last night had the worst service we have had in Paris for years Treated with contempt because we did not speak perfect French. They messed up the steaks too (medium well came with the sauce for medium). Soufflés good of course but did not compensate for their utter disdain.

Yum, yum, yum. Contrary to previous reviewers, we had courteous and efficient service from all the staff members. We needed time to decide and the staff were patient and polite. Now that that's out of the way, I must say that I was reluctant to go to a predominantly souffle place but my daughter who is visiting us in Paris... More

We went to this small restaurant at 4 Rue Recamier in Paris (Sainte Germaine area) with two other couples. It was raining but we sat outside under a tent and had our meal. The food was fantastic. Three of us has soufflés and the other three had fish. We all had dessert soufflés afterwards. The soufle was light and airy... More

I thought having souffle for dinner in Paris would be an experience. Despite thousands of great Paris bistrots, we chose this restaurant because it would be unique. It is quite a large place, indoors and outdoors so if you're looking for a slow-paced, intimate dinner, this isn't the place. We were seated and within a minute the board with the... More
