Yet another excellent review

We celebrated our 10 yr anniversary and wifes birthday with le Calife. I had the salmon tartar, guinea fowl and then the apple crisp. All excellent. Very good boat ride on the Seine, food was excellent and wine selection is very good as well. One small suggestion would be to maybe organize some live music and maybe organize pick-up and drop-off by taxi, before and after the trip. Overall it was very good.

We booked this tour, following the tripadvisor references and I'm glad we did it! The cruise was just perfect! A beautiful night-view of the city, the dinner is correct (in this city) for the price you pay and the staff is friendly. The atmosphere of the boat is very romantic, a bit retro style, much nicer than other croisseries we... More

Our trip on the Seine on a warm spring evening couldn't have been more special. First taste of foie gras and champagne cocktails. Decent French wine and some very tasty food. The menu was well balanced but if I was being picky a little overpriced. Probably just to be expected in Paris I suspect. The girls next to us had... More

The entire experience was lovely. It was not your typical rubber chicken dinner. I was expecting an average dinner but the food was very good. The service was friendly and attentive. The cruise was beautiful. There is not a bad seat on the boat. Every table has a window view. Recommend for a specail night.

This was my daughter's college graduation gift, a trip to Paris. After doing quite a bit of research I found Calife. This smaller dinner cruise boat was wonderful. Choices of 3 or 4 course dinners made it perfect for myself a lighter eater, and my daughter, a marathon runner. The food was very good, the wine was excellent, plenty of... More

Came here for dinner on Thursday night for dinner and were delighted with this elegant and charming boat. Midweek meant that my boyfriend and I had table space for four and space around us to properly enjoy the views. Dinner was surprisingly good - we went for the €67 per person menu which includes the actual cruise price so felt... More

I surprised my lovely wife with a weekend getaway to Paris. The dinner cruise was the highlight of our trip. Biting into the molten chocolate cake as the Eiffel Tower light show sparkles in the background will never be forgotten!. The food was exceptional. My wife enjoyed the beef filet a la Rossini while I chose the fresh fish with... More

There are thousands of unbelievable restaurants in Paris. This experience was not about the food, it was about the views on the Seine, the lights and Paris at night. There are two menus to choose from, one more expensive than the other. Four of us ate from the less expensive menu and the food was very good from starter to... More

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day evening on the Bateau le Calife. While the dinner was good, it was not great, but it didn't really matter when you look out the window at the sites of Paris. Our wine glasses were never empty for long. Other boats were ripping by us but we just cruised leasurely along. Made it to... More

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
