foie gras heaven!!

To start they have an entire menu page of foie gras. Yes, an entire page! Many great choices. The pan fried with apples was excellent and a truly large portion for the price. I'd never had duck before and judging by tripadvisor this place was definitely the right choice for the first time. Great service with a smile, the food was beautiful, and despite the $$$$ rating above my bill was only 28 euros so I suppose it depends on whether you have entrees and wine (I didn't, but did have duck for... Delightful atmosphere and good selection of duck. Two of us had the confit which was good, one had the breast which was very tender but the winner of the night was duck in an orange sauce! Super tender! We also had the appetizer selection of foie gras and the fresh was superb! The recommended wine was nice, don't recall the... More

Lots of choices for foie both and cold! Had the pan fried foie with apples which has been my favorite dish all along! The duck confit however was slightly too oily and thick on the skin outside! Could be done better! Overall good!

Just a short walk from Eifel Tower, gourmet place, good choice of fois gras and duck courses, booked for Saturday lunch, but there were plenty of vacant tables

This restaurant's quality doesn't change although it feels bigger than when we were there last. Service was good but you couldn't help noticing the frantic pace of all the waiting staff. We had the foie gras degustation to start which highlights all that is extraordintary about this indulgent product. The raw foie gras was a revelation, served with just a... More

At Au Petit Sud Ouest, Chantal's sweet, sweet greeting and her total recall of our prior visits is as much a part of this eating experience as the food itself. Asked of her chef-husband Christian whether he or she is the better cook, he wisely defers, but there is no doubt that this restaurant is a place to which you... More

Visited this wonderful restaurant, 7-min walk from Ecole Militaire Metro. One of the best places in Paris for Duck & Foie Gras lovers. Foie gras is served in either hot or cold, both superb yummy. This will be must-eat restaurant in Paris! I suggest you book before visiting.

As every review describes, this is THE place for foie gras and duck. Since the expansion, it has lost a little of its "hidden gem" charm; but Au Petit Sud Ouest remains a unique and delightful place to have this cuisine. For such a busy place, the owner/managers seem able to maintain a personal touch and skillfully supervise the operation... More

What a wonderful time my wife and I had here on June 16, 2015! Foie Gras three ways, a nice goat cheese salad, goose leg confit and duck in a cherry sauce, washed down with a reasonably priced Pomerol. The service was great, and we were treated warmly. I highly recommend Au Petit Sud Ouest!
