Based on the reviews here, I came to Petit Sud Ouest and had one of the best dinners in Paris that week. Luckily we had a table, but you should definitely book in advance. It was mid-week and the restaurant was packed. The menu had a lot of variety and it was impossible to choose from. All sorts of pâté,... More

It is everything and above all Mrs. Chantal, her warm welcome and attention to all her guests. This is a full-fledged restaurant yet it feels like paying a visit to some friends. The food is absolutely delicious. Foie gras in all its glory. We had on this visit the foie gras in three ways. The cassoulet to follow... Lovely Chateau... More

Starters reasonable- we had and we shared a Rillettes Canard and Terrine Foie Volaille-very enjoyable. Given baskets of fresh organic bread which u toasted your self at table. Main both had confit duck, with wild mushrooms and yum crispy potatoes. Bottle of water and house wine of Grain Sauvage Juranton. With tip 78 euros! Out of the thousands of eateries... More

If you like duck, this menu will make you drool. Also good for goose lovers. Lots of fowl options ... and I mean that in a good way! However, the food was a bit disappointing, I don't know, I expected more -- more originality, more tender and less dry meat. Still, hey, we both had duck, one a l'orange, the... More

The menu made me smile, as it pretty much is all duck. Believe me, I am not complaining! I started with a pine nut salad, which was delicious. Then the duck breast was absolutely the best ever with yummy fried potato slices. I would go back here in a minute.

My biggest regret - I hadn't taken others' recommendations for this restaurant the first three times I'd been to Paris. A truly special place for those of us who love foie gras and duck. Charming owners, oh so close to the Eiffel Tower, and the food, oh that food.

We had a wonderful dining experience each of the several time we ate here during a recent prolonged stay in Paris. As noted, the menu is limited, but the quality, preparation and service are excellent. Part of the reason is that the very pleasant couple who own it are virtually always there, even serving from time to time. They also... More

After an evening visit to the Eiffel tower, my girlfriend and I decided to head to the restaurant. Despite arriving without a reservation, we were seated within 10 minutes during the busy dinner hour. This place really deserves its high rank simply for the variety of duck dishes they serve and the impeccable preparation and taste. The foie gras and... More

This was simply one of the best meals we had in Paris. The staff at this family run restaurant was excellent. They were extremely friendly and helpful, explaining the menu and making suggestions. This was a breath of fresh air in a city where we found the service to often be lacking. We had the foie gras and duck confit... More

I love foie gras. I didn't know this until I got to Paris, but by gosh I do now. This was around the 10th place I got it at, and it was by far the best here. The service was fantastic as well - recommended a great wine pairing and were very friendly.
