I was somewhat wary of this restaurant since it seemed so focused on one item (duck) but have to say that our dinner could not have been better! From the time you enter, where you are warmly greeted, to the time your yummy pate arrives to the fabulous chocolate cake it is a wonderful experience!

Came here twice in two months. The first time was to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and the second was just a casual dinner with my friends. I had such a wonderful time here on both occasions. Ordered the foie gras with truffles and the duck confit both times (it never gets old) and I must say, it is absolutely amazing.... More

This is my second time in Paris and also my second time to Au Petite Sud Ouest. Duck is their specialty. The seared foie with apples was amazing, and the duck casuallete was awesome. I recommend this great restaurant.

My husband and I enjoyed a truly great meal at this atmospheric little restaurant. The duck was crisp, tender and juicy. The service was excellent. When my husband could not decide on a wine the owner brought over several bottles for him to taste. Each table had a toaster so your bread for foie gras was always hot and tasty.... More

I was disappointed. If you are accustomed to good French food you will be too. The duck was not good and the restaurant seems made to move tourists in and out. The fois gras was good but good fois gras and good duck can be found in so many places in Paris.

On the eve of the Paris marathon my husband & I ate here having first made a reservation. The atmosphere is pleasing and relaxed. Genuinely helpful staff offering advice on wine etc. This restaurant serves all things 'duck'....utterly delicious! We had a lovely bottle of wine and were pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived, as I would have happily paid... More

My wife and I went there for dinner during our honeymoon on Oct 2013. The food was exceptional, the service was great, and the atmosphere was traditional and warm. We couldn't asked for a better night! The duck confit was by far the best we've tried in Paris restaurants. I'd recommend you make a reservation in advance as it is... More

We decided to check out this place based on TA reviews and I'm sorry to say it does not meet the hype in the food department. I travel a lot for work and have eaten in both cheap and expensive places from Brazil, Peru and Mexico to New York, London and Rome to South Africa, Australia and the Middle East... More
