This storied building will wet your appetite just imagining it's history, who may have been there before, and the titilating intrigues that it's walls have witnessed. We were greet by a lovely young lady and attended through the evening by a charming young man, Nickola. Anyone who thinks the French have attitude they're right, they have a joyously welcoming attitude... More

Let me begin by framing the context of this review. I have never reviewed a restaurant on a public site. However, I have experienced a broad array of restaurants around the world that have no stars and 5 stars and am not swayed by a rating when assessing the quality of a culinary experience. With that said, I am loathe... More

I was taking my husband out to celebrate his 40th birthday. It was his wish to come back at Laperouse after a wonderful experience here one year ago. However, this time round the experience was quite another. The room Du quai aux fleurs was lovely but the lamp had one wrong light bulb that gave a very strong glare in... More

The idea is fun - mark a mirror with your diamond like the "ladies of the night" once did in the old days... You can reserve a private room with a table and a mirror marked by hundreds of couples before you. The mirrors are old - like before the days of your grandma old so you can imagine how... More

11 of us had a private room for dinner on October 13, 2014. I had carpacchio and guinea fowl - which turned out to be what everyone else wished they had done. Most of the group ordered beef, all of which was overcooked. Those who ordered rare beef (4 people) received well done beef. As their plates were returned to... More

I came here with my fiancé and spent a small fortune on starter, main course and wine - good food and lovely wine, but we didn't fancy a desert at those prices. The big differentiators here are: The restaurant itself - particularly the decor and setting, it's beautifully shabby chic and just the right side of feeling like a tourist... More

What a beautiful setting, delicious food, drink and decor. Our waiter couldn't have been more helpful and kind. I had the lobster soup and the monk fish which were both delicious. My fiancé had the lettuce and truffle salad (which seemed extortionately expensive) and the veal (also delicious). Be prepared for an expensive bill but this place is delightful and... More

Yes. I cannot say enough. One must read the history of this restaurant to appreciate the buildong dor what it is. That said, the service, cozy atmosphere and food cannot be surpassed. I could go on and on, but what can one say about a perfect place, except perfect?

I travel extensively, go out for meals often and have never written a bad review before but had to after the trip to Laperouse. First and lastly, this place is absolutely beautiful. Very historic. I loved the interior more than probably any restaurant I've been in. Please stop in to take a look and then immediately leave. We had a... More

My companion and I had champagne, a bottle of red - crispy asparagus as entree and two different fish dishes as main. The food was good. The location and setting is beautiful and historic, the building and salons are interesting to visit. It was a rainy Monday night, so it was not very full and most were tourists. I personally...
