Tasty food and romantic atmosphere.

We ordered a three course meal, and it was magical! Especially the Lobster soup! Great service, evocative surroundings and delicious food and wine. Thumbs up.

Excellent food in a delightful setting...the staff are very friendly and you can have a joke and a laugh with them. Very expensive but worth a visit

Have you ever dreamt of a restaurant which is also a theatre? I did, and I found it in Laperouse. The atmosphere you breathe in this restaurant is something words can never really describe, still I'll give it a try. You are in this city called Paris. It's like saying "Venice": it is a unique perfect place, and it makes... More

The L'aperouse restaurant is a lovely restaurant & bar that takes you back to paris of yesteryear. Velvet, deep red shades, dark rooms and a very decadent atmosphere in the air. Nice place to spend a evening for drinks & dinner. Highly recommended!

Perhaps it was an off night in the kitchen. The waiter claimed one chef had be ill for two weeks and the other had gotten ill that day. In any case, they should have closed down. My fish was terribly over cooked after waiting for nearly an hour. Rumour has it the restaurant was sold to a corp. Save your... More

This is the restaurant where Charles Swann courted Odette de Crecy, and it is still excellent, if not quite at the top of the formidable Parisian restaurant pyramid. We had a fine multi-course dinner there in one of the private dining rooms. The menu was pre-set, but we had chosen well. It is worth exploring, to the extent you can,... More

Wine, service and starters where ok. Main courses for me and my wife was a disaster. My wife's monk fish came overcooked, and was served practically without the beurre blanc that was supposed to follow and with strawberrys as garniture! The sauce arrived after we asked the waiter. My steak was cut from low quality meat that probably had been... More

My wife and I visited Paris for a romantic weekend, and I booked one of the restaurants private rooms. What can I say except everything about our visit was amazing, the setting, the history, the location, the staff. We went for the 5 course menu and were not disappointed, the food was immense! I also had a hidden agenda in... More

What an amazing place with so much history, character and charm. We celebrated our pre-wedding dinner there: it was super romantic, the food was divine and the "mini historical tour" the waiter gave us after dinner was great.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
