I'm with some of the other recent reviewers. They reworked a restaurant and menu that was great and the change is not a good one. I am an avid Petrossian devotee, but the revised menu is not one I like. I'm definitely going to give it time and try again, but I do not hold much hope. Beautiful gifts and... More

I wrote before about the wonderful food at Petrossian before and it was one of my favourite restaurants in Paris. But it is night and day. There is a new menu and many of the dishes I liked have disappeared. First, service was very slow. The attitudes of the servers were initially very good and went downhill after we complained... More

I had my expectation low as I went to Petrossian based on mixed review on tripadvisor. I tried their salmon and quite liked it. I also ordered a couple of dishes incl. crab sandwich which was nice. This shop reminded me of caviarteria in NYC. It would be a nice stop before or after the visit of Tour d'eiffel.

The name Petrossian conjures images of flowing champagne, heaps of caviar, and Paris at its luxurious best. Funny how reality and fantasy seem to disconnect. The service was barely better than an upscale café and the food was that of an average brasserie. Yes, there's caviar, but frankly, anyone can open a can and serve blinis. So blow by blow.... More

I was recently caught in a downpour in Paris, trudging along the rue de l'Universite sans parapluie because I couldn't get a taxi, and metro was not convenient to the address I sought. I was late and hadn't picked up a hostess gift for the dinner. Suddenly, appearing through the rain like a beacon in the night, there were the... More

This is my second review for 144 Petrosian. My first, second, and third experiences there have been excellent but my last one (4 months after the the third visit) was very average. Still excellent rating for the service and very good for the setting but the food has changed. I ordered my favorite risotto as first and the flavor was... More
