A very enjoyable dinner

A lovely ambience, a very interesting menu, and the food is excellent ; we also took the advice on red wine which was also spot on. Definitely a restaurant to use if you are in the area ; we'll be back.

Ou apartment host recommended this place in his neigborhood. Just AWESOME! We went there yesterday and will be back tomorrow. My kids even changed their deserts for entrées: la terrine de poireaux e foie gras. The beef (we has entrecotê and filet) were very good with the homemade potatoes. Service was very friendly. VERY good value for money!

We return again and again because of the choice and quality of the food and the service which is excellent. Christopher enjoys the veal kidneys and Christine enjoys the fish of the day. We both enjoy the crepes flambe and the choice of reasonably priced wine. We recommend this restaurant to family and friends as it is well worth a... More

Best onion soup ever! Canard au cassis to die for. Very friendly staff. Well serves dishes. Not so expensive, price is fair. Been there twice and both times I had a great experience!

A warm and inviting restaurant on a corner of backstreets very close to the Sacre Coeur in Montmarte. The food was good with some unusual dishes – including kidneys in a rich masala style sauce. This is a popular venue so if there’s a larger group it is worth booking. The wine is expensive!

We had dinner in this restaurant in February 2015. Although the atmosphere is a bit kitch ,the service is good. We tried the boeuf bourguignon and the canard and we really enjoyed it. I think it's a good place to taste real French cuisine without spending too much money as you would do in a restaurant in the center.

Very nice old place with excellent fresh food (made to order). Great Parisien plates, very friendly service (a bit slow, but who cares!). Nice affordable wine list (good quality & selection). A true Parisien athmosphere. Great original 1800' ceiling decoration.

We returned here for our 4th visit (Jan 2013, Jan 2014, Jun 2014, and Jan 2015). We always have the French onion soup. They have two different versions: a chicken stock one in the summer and a beef stock one in the winter. We prefer the winter version. It is so good with lots of cheese and is just yummy.... More

We discovered Le Coin as we toured our neighborhood. Even though it wasn't on our "recommended" list, we liked what we saw on the menu outside, and it looked warm and inviting inside. It would have been a huge mistake if we had passed it by. We ended up having three dinners here. Each time, everything was scrumptious, and the... More

The place is inviting enough but the food was lacking for sure. The waiter was sweet but he did appear to be drunk. There are other places in the neighbourhood which are better

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
