Unique experience with class

What a wonderful concept at Il Vino! First you choose the wine, then the Chef 'marries' the wine with the food. Basically, you get 3 options to order: 1. You can choose wines for starters, main course and desserts and then let the Chef do his trick, or 2. You can choose the set-menu with blind wine... read more

The surprise menu at 95 euros was a scandalous disappointment. It's stated as 4 course wine pairing menu; I would never have imagined it'd be 4 glasses of white wine. I naturally assumed I'd start with white and end with red. Food/wine pairing wasn't at all to my taste. I forced myself to finish the first two courses but on... More

This restaurant is very Italian French. Matching wines were nice and the way of introducing various wines was unique. However we have two negative remarks on the service and foods.; 1. Despite there were many seats available, we were guided to the table nearest the entrance. Quite strange place where one customer was very closely seated already.. 2. We asked... More

We have been to Paris three times and can not believe we just discovered Il Vino. Plan to spend 2 hours or more enjoying dinner. Highly recommend the 5 course meal with food paired with wine selection. You do not know what food you will receive. It is an adventure! We had planned to visit our favorite Italian restaurant in... My husband and I dined at Il Vino in July 2014 and it was truly the finest meal we had on our trip! Each course was spectacular, thoughtfully prepared and perfectly paired with a beautiful wine. The restaurant itself was intimate and romantic. The service was wonderful and so helpful. I look forward to our return to Paris and Il... More

If you book ONE dinner in Paris, you need to book Il Vino and you need to book it your last night there b/c every other meal will pale in comparison. Il Vino has the #1 Somm in the world and their concept is different: they make WINE the protagonist. You choose the wine and they kitchen sends the food... More

This review is not about the food. We booked our reservation online months in advance, only to be told upon arrival that our reservations did not exist and that they now had a private party filling the restaurant. Although polite, the Maitre d' was not initially helpful until he realized that the mistake was theirs. He found us a table... More

This was my first meal in Paris, I ate with some friends. Everything was wonderful, I loved that the waiter saw our challenges re wine and instead brought us pairings for each course. Everything there you need to try.

Treated to the best wine experience by super young sommaliers with a plate pairing beyond amazing definitely took away any thoughts of whining. After a long hard day at work, not being able to make the dinner boat cruise with my colleagues that sounded like fun, I searched the internet for restaurants near the Eiffel Tower. This restaurant caught my... More

This is a truly great night out. You order your wine choice and the dishes follow the selection (food allergies are discussed). Here you will try some excellent wines accompanied by superb food. Your waiter will explain each wine after a "can you guess" session! My teenage boys loved it and learnt a bit about wine. Be sure and try... More
