Small cafe with good service. Simple menu. Great coffee and cake. free wifi. Good for lunch and dinner.
This is in a tourist area. My guess is their business is more tourist walk ins than repeat visitors. I did notice that we were treated differently than a French speaking couple. The service and food was lacking.
I have eaten here a few times. Busy, a bit noisy, but you can't argue that it is amongst the best in the city. A see and be seen spot, the food is great for the price. Which is saying a lot in paris

There were no tourists, besides for us. The food was simple but delicious. I loved the authenticity of the decor and the waiters seem to be there since the place opened up. There was not a single empty table and we considered ourselves lucky to have gotten a table at the last minute.
Stayed at the Vendome but didn't want to pay 44eur for brekkie and at 9 eur for juice big croissant and nice coffee with great friendly service was a place we'd go back too.
