A piece of Caribean in Paris

Stepping into the Rhumerie you are welcomed by the Manager with a smile and are instantly transported to the sunny Caribean. Cocktails are exotic, non-alcoholic juices delicious and the Accras de Morue and Boudins taste great (remember we are in Paris so less spicy). Decor is simple and as long as... read more

Fans of rhums will love this place. The menu list of the rhums is long and should meet all your desiderata. I have not tried the cocktails thus cannot say about. I suggest to try the small test made by 4 shots of different types so that you may find new taste. Beware of the rhum arrange with pepper, too... More

It's a caribean corner in Saint Germain. We launched very well and at affordable prices: a grilled fish, a big salads, two desserts and 1/2 liter of white wine: € .48. If there are groups of old Parisians, the fun is guaranteed.

We stopped instinctively at this restaurant while walking around the Saint Germain area in Paris and were delighted by the food as well as the ambience of the place. Highly recommended!

Lovely place. Lovely food and the owner is very sociable, knows many people and interacts well with patrons. Friendly. Great Caribbean food and plenty rum

A historic site has become too banal And yet its origin is beautiful, almost a fairy tale ... Joseph Louville created in 1931 a beautiful place, well positioned. The concept was ahead. I enjoy going sipping rums of the Antilles in a tinted exotic and warm atmosphere. Today, the service is more impersonal, short it could be any coffee anywhere... More

Met so like minded people here last week the day before the JB concert. Great boat drinks(strong) and lite menu was tasty. Very popular with locals and tourists.

My friend and I went back 3 times. This is a very fun place to take a break and relax In a Caribbean themed cafe. You can sample salt fish fritters and other appetizers indigenous to the Caribbean. They offer dozens of high end rums. The service is friendly and accomodating. Unique and tres sympa.

It's always busy, and you understand quikly why: they're making awesome cocktails. Their Mojito is the best I've ever had. You can also enjoy good food with your drinks. Perfect place to go for a drink with your friends!

No wine or beer here. It's all about the rum. I thought this place was interesting looking at the Trip Advisor reviews. I hoped for a french carrib restaurant. It's really a bar with no atmosphere. I ordered the mango colada and my wife had daiquiris. Tasted good. They were in the 9 euro range. Since we came for dinner,... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
