Wonderful!

It has all been said here. The asparagus soup with fois gras ice cream, house smoked salmon and cured beef ( like prosciutto) with asparagus and Parmesan for starters got me teary eyed. The pasta with truffles made a convert of a picky 13 year old girl and the scallops were a creamy delight. The... read more

We arrived at Pramil on a Wednesday night without a reservation (which I wouldn't recommend) but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was incredible - in particular the duck foie gras and smoked eel appetizer, the sea scallops and the sweet breads as mains. Sweetbreads are hard to do right and they definitely achieved... It is with some trepidation that I return to a place which left such a strong impression as to be able to recall the taste of a dish three years down the road. Pramil did not disappoint us. The dishes are - as before - original, light, flavourfull and sometimes challenging (The cucumber sorbet is still one of the best... More

In this day of (some) chefs acting like rock stars it is refreshing to meet a chef that prepares memorable meals and does not expect the “royal treatment”. Alain Pramil is the prime example of a chef who operates a top notch kitchen and at the same time interacts with the patrons in a very unassuming way. The night I... More

I loved this restaurant. Hands down it was the food highlight of my trip. It is a small space with a friendly and welcoming staff. After the first bite of my appetizer, I knew my taste buds were in for a treat. The cauliflower cake with peppery jam sounded interesting and set the tone for more great flavors to come.... More

Our experience was much like Joel's. It is quite pricey for us... but my family found it on a list .. much as Joel's wife did. This is a very nice place to eat and take friends . The staff are charming and careful. The street is a little backwater left untouched at the moment...thank goodness... and the atmosphere is good.... More

Very good food and service matched with a reasonable price. Nice wine list.nHighly recommended. Due to the small size, reservations are a must.

My wife and I were in Paris over the Mother's Day weekend and were looking for a nice place to celebrate. My wife found Parmil based on a printed review and we booked a reservation online a few week before arriving in France. The location is conveniently located only a couple of blocks from the Republic Metro stop and while... More

The 33€ prix fixe three course supper was quite good – some standout dishes, some a bit bland. On the entrees (starters), the shrimp salad and smoked salmon salad were OK; the asparagus soup with foie gras ice cream was pretty amazing, as was the special starter-de-jour – some kind of dry-grilled charcuterie topped with asparagus gratinee. For the mains,... More
