We ate here twice during our month stay in Paris. The place was always warm and inviting, great staff and excellent food and service. Had the duck which was marvelous. Fantastic desserts as well.

a very traditional french cuisine with a set menu and all-star service, US style (withouth the tipping, thank God). nonetheless, the dishes were sometimes drowning in butter and the not always warm as you would expect. I would need to come back for another set and review again. a perfect spot for tourists though, as - once again - they... More

We had best rest time here! We stop by just for couple of beers, after long walk, to get our-self together :) We were at the bar, very good stuff and relaxing atmosphere. the french beer is not so bad at all :)

Entrees: The foie gras (14 euros) was a terrine, so served cold / at room temperature, not pan seared or roasted. Might not be up to everyone's expectations, depending on the style you're used to. Mains: (18 euros each) The roasted duckling fillet was lovely, though slightly overdone even though I said pink when they asked how I want it... More

My husband and I stopped here after touring notre dame. They're tourist friendly but there were also several Parisians dining here also. The portions are smaller than what you'd find in america but they were enough to fill you up. The pain before dinner was a little crunchy to me but my husband loved it and the merlot (from France!)... More

I went to Au Bougnat the last night of my stay in Paris. On a Monday night it's somewhat more difficult to find a place to have dinner, especially at 10 PM. Their service was quite friendly and quick. The food was good with a solid menu. The prices were reasonable. I would go again.

Nothing wrong with the restaurant. Staff are friendly and food is good. Very close to Notre Dame. Not really a destination but good if you looking for a place to eat near Notre Dame

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
