We dined at 6.30pm and the place was empty, just us and a lady eating alone. However we were hungry and were made most welcome. The food was of a great standard, couldn't fault it. It was reasonably priced for the quality. The Pinot Noir was awesome and this was the best meal we had in Paris, with friendly yet... More

My wife and I ended up at this intimate gem near Notre Dame. Service was very good. We had their wine and cheese plate and fell in love all over again. What a romantic spot. Definitely no complaints here.

We were taken to this restaurant by a friend who had gone many times over a number of years, and had never been disappointed. My wife, who is French, and I have eaten in many places all over France and highly recommend this place. It is unusual for a restaurant a stone throw away from a major tourist area to... More

Look down the alley and you'll find a great little restaurant with great big flavors. Everything from the bread to the food was delicious and the service was impeccable

Au Bougnat is on the second street North of Notre Dame on the Ile de la Cite so, inevitably, tends to attract many tourists. However the food is a definite cut above the usual "serve them once as we know they won't come back" level - indeed it's pretty good. We went as a party of 8, with a mix... More

Don't confuse this with Le Bougnat, there seems to be some confusion on trip advisor. Au Bougnat is a wonderful hidden gem very close to the Norte Dame Cathedral. It is tucked away on a little street # 26 Rue Chanoinesse. This is country cooking but with creativity and flair. First of all if you're over 5'2" WATCH YOUR HEAD... More

We do not tend to make repeat visits to restaurants in Paris but the hunger pangs hit when we were in the area (near Notre Dame) and fond memories of a great meal here brought us back. I like this place because it has managed to provided great meals at a fair price while being incredibly close to an area... More

an authentic, very good restaurant in the narrow medieval streets next to Notre Dame. Excellent food, good price & attentive service. A good address in the heart of Paris

Stopped in here for lunch with another couple toward the end of a 9 day trip to France. We were steered here by our guide when we inquired about a good place to eat at the end of our walking tour with her. It turned out to be a great recommendation. We were able to get in for lunch without... More
