We were delighted to take just steps from Notre Dame and suddenly be on a nearly deserted alleyway leading to this unassuming bistro. There is a tiny bar at the entrance and a small but comfortable dining room behind. The service was efficient and friendly. This is good solid food at a fair price and welcome respite when there are... More

After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to try this restaurant on our second night in Paris, and we were certainly not disappointed. A lovely surprise was a complementary olive tapenade with delightful bread (my husband loves olives - he was very impressed!) and both of our meals (he had the cod and I had the Plat du Jour... More

My family and I ate lunch here in June. The food was good, the tables are close together, and unfortunately our table was in the middle of the tiny walkway so my husbands chair was forever being bumped by the waitress. The adults in our party thought the food was very good, It was a pork entree if I remember... More

Just behind Notre Dame, good restaurant which offers good food in a rather small room. Many tourists but not a touristic place !

Very average food. Quite a small room and you have to duck to go through the entrance. I had to try frogs legs when in France and got the opportunity here. They were...ok. I got quite a big portion and left quite a few. They were bland, not sure if they always are or if it was how they were... More

We four women friends visiting Paris for ten days found Au Bougnat around the corner from our apartment on the first night. It was a perfect introduction to our stay. It has a very authentic French atmosphere, and the food was delicious. My dinner began with a thyme cream shooter, then cold fresh pea soup, followed by excellent duck breast... More

This restaurant is a lovely surprise. Unusual menu with delicious and tasty dishes, well presented. Not too much too choose from in the menu but real quality food. I enjoyed very much the goat cheese starter ! Typical French restaurant with specialities cooked in a fine way. Nice, attentive and welcoming staff. Great atmosphere.

Pretty good food.. Not the best ever but we did enjoy it. We really enjoyed our wine and how it was a block from Notre Dame yet off the tourist track! Really good saffron risotto!

At first we thought this was just a tiny bar but hidden away behind it, through a very low door (watch your head) was an ancient room with timbered ceiling and stone walls. A handful of tables line the walls. In addition to the daily specials, you can order a la carte. Choose a 3 course meal or variations (... More
