Au Bougnat is on the second street North of Notre Dame on the Ile de la Cite so, inevitably, tends to attract many tourists. However the food is a definite cut above the usual "serve them once as we know they won't come back" level - indeed it's pretty good. We went as a party of 8, with a mix... More

Don't confuse this with Le Bougnat, there seems to be some confusion on trip advisor. Au Bougnat is a wonderful hidden gem very close to the Norte Dame Cathedral. It is tucked away on a little street # 26 Rue Chanoinesse. This is country cooking but with creativity and flair. First of all if you're over 5'2" WATCH YOUR HEAD... More

We do not tend to make repeat visits to restaurants in Paris but the hunger pangs hit when we were in the area (near Notre Dame) and fond memories of a great meal here brought us back. I like this place because it has managed to provided great meals at a fair price while being incredibly close to an area... More

an authentic, very good restaurant in the narrow medieval streets next to Notre Dame. Excellent food, good price & attentive service. A good address in the heart of Paris

Stopped in here for lunch with another couple toward the end of a 9 day trip to France. We were steered here by our guide when we inquired about a good place to eat at the end of our walking tour with her. It turned out to be a great recommendation. We were able to get in for lunch without... More

I only had two nights in Paris during my recent stay and I ate here the first night. The food was absolutely some of the best food I have ever put in my mouth! The waitress was wonderful, very attentive throughout our meal, and pleasant to converse with. My only regret was that I didn't go back the second night!

This is a wonderful little restaurant in the heart of Paris. It is just around the corner from Notre Dame on Ile de la Cite however, it is amazingly not touristy. Perhaps because when you walk in you are in a little bar and that looks like all it is - but you walk through a small archway, tall people... More

i found this restaurant in 2013 while staying in Paris for five weeks. I was thrilled! an authentic French restaurant in a great location with great food at a good price and populated by local people! I went three times with different groups of friends and was not disappointed. Highest scores! I went back this year twice expecting the same.... More

Hi Mr Craizieg, I'm Julien and I run the Bougnat for 7 years. I'm sorry we could not satisfy you this year as we did before. The most difficult for us is definitely to keep up the quality of the food but it's the same for pretty much all the restaurant. There is one thing to understand on the Ile... More

My husband and I agree that, at the time of the appetizer, we would have given a rating of 3. Then, 2 during the main course. Then, everything slid down to a dismal 1 by dessert. We came here because we had seen several good reviews. So maybe this was an off-day, but I don't think so. There was absolutely... More

We are staying in an apartment in Marais and were in search of a classic French Restaurant amongst many bars and cafes serving burgers and French fries.Notre Dame bustles with tourists so finding this little gem of an authentic French restaurant was a treat! We had a delicious meal and then walked home sated and satisfied. We later returned for... More
