Every year my friends and I spend our vacations in Paris. Some of us a week and some stay for 3 months. Au Bougnat has become our gathering place for things we do together. Whether we stop for a beer, wine, dinner, or aperitif the staff is always happy to see us (even when it's crazy busy). You've made it... More

This was just around the corner from my apartment and had been recommended by the owner. The ambiance was great with the locals congregating and the food was superb......will return when in Paris in 2015.

.. fantastic place close to Notre Dame but in a quiet street angle where there is no traffic .. you can taste really good traditional dishes of the French tradition .. you live the experience to eat and hear some local people discussing in French because especially during the dinner, there are no so many tourists .. I strongly recommend... More

Pleasant little restaurant visible from the main road. Friendly waiting staff and a decent Steak Frites was the requirement following a long day and Au Bougnat delivered exactly this. Amuse Bouche of Tomato Gazpacho with Basil Pesto and what I think was Feta Cheese was very tasty. There was a nice ambience within the restaurant too and the decor was... More

This is a small bar-restaurant off the main street near Notre Dame was a welcome find. We were able to avoid the crowds of people on the streets just a 1/2 block away and enjoy a wonderful lunch. The food was well prepared and delicious and the atmosphere seemed real Parisian. It was a little more pricey than we usually... More

Literally 100 steps from our pied-à-terre. On this last trip we were determined to stop and have a bite. As we'd only had wine in the past. It has a lovely cozy wine bar in the front which I think is quintessential Paris in the afternoon/evening hours. The wine list is great and you will find a mixture of Americans... More

We were recently in Paris and just happened upon this lovely little restaurant tucked away in a corner. We had no reservation and they found us a table - this was around 7pm. The place quickly filled up. I had poached egg and snails to start - it was delicious. C had a goat cheese cannelloni which she really enjoyed... More

I don't know what I was expecting since it was on the island but if you want to be surrounded by a lot of loud Americans then this is the place for you. The food was okay and service very welcoming but understaffed for how many people were there.

The food in Paris is great with so many choices, but finding a real Parisian Restaurant with fine French food that caters to locals is truly a great find! After spending six nights in Paris, tonight, our last night, I found Au Bougnat in Tripadvisor and I am glad I did. We called around 5:00 pm to make reservations for... More

Since our daughter lives in Paris we usually like to visit restaurants that are more off the beaten track but shortage of time forced us into central Paris on a very wet and very busy Sunday. As per usual we had done our research and my wife found this eatery had an appeal for her. So off we go in... More
