This is a strong favourite for the discerning Parisians who live in the area and is normally packed at lunch and for dinner every day of the week except Sunday when they are closed. Delicious food and a seasonal menu, this is a favourite where you just can't go wrong whether for the 20euro lunch menu or for dinner. Reservations... More

We had some good meals and were pretty satisfied with the quality. It wasn't perfect though, and for the price they could have done a bit better. Although they speak English and are very friendly.

Some friends organized a diner at Le Louvre Ripaille while I crossed Paris. The venue is not very large, hosting up to 30 people max at once. The service is excellent and the staff is giving top advices with a good sense of humor. I took the nems (served by 7, with a delicious sauce), then I had a Risotto... More

We were looking for a place to eat while by the Louvre, but did not want to go to a touristy place. This place had great reviews and was very busy with locals when we arrived. Our waiter, who I think was the owner, recognized we were American and asked us if we wanted an English menu. They definitely cater... More

Great little restaurant not far from the Louvre in a quiet street. The service was a bit slow initially but the waiter was excellent and made up for it before anything was said with a glass of Champagne. Very accommodating as well as he moved us outside as soon as a table was free. Food was good, steak was nicely... More

After a tour of the Louvre we went here on the recommendation of our guide. It is a charming little place that is decorated simply. Our waiter, I suspect was the owner. He and the girl behind the bar were very friendly and gave us both menus in French and English. We all ate the formula and started the meal... More

My friends and I decided to meet here for lunch instead of the more popular Le Fumoir. My pork chops (which the waiter called savage) was excellent and my friends felt that their steak was great too. (one of them said it was one of the better restaurants she tried). However I was a bit disappointed with the dessert -... More

This was my favorite restaurant in Paris!! We had a very relaxing lunch here, the food was very good, and the service was very good!! We sat outside, enjoyed the wonderful Paris weather, watching the people and sipping on our wine!! A great find!!

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
