Best steak!

Had their steak which was recommended by my friend who had her hen party there! She told me the steak was one of the highlights at her hen do! And its true! Best meal I've had in Beautiful Paris!

Had lunch after a 3 hour tour of the Louvre. Great little/typical French bistro, we were the only English speaking people in the house including the owner/wait staff. This did not matter at all, we got ourselves understood and had a superb "home cooked" lunch. A lot of their dishes originated from Lyon. Great value lunch 19 Euro excluding wine.

My wife's sister, who lives in Paris, made reservations at Le Louvre Ripaille for 7:00 PM on July 8th. About 6:30 PM that day, it became very windy and started to rain. My wife, her sister and I were hovering in the cold and wind when the owner showed up at 7:00 PM and started opening the place up. We... More

We (two couples) showed up 5 minutes before they opened at 7:30 while the owner was still setting up tables. He was very quick to offer us a table and menus to look at while he finished his work. Food was good and we got an appetizer free that we weren't expecting.

I try to come to visit my friend Patrick (we have been friends for over 25 years) each time I am in Paris and I always enjoy the food and the ambiance. I live now in Poland and when I enter the restaurant I feel I am back in Paris. I got this time the steak and creme caramel and... More

I was very happy to have stumbled upon this place. Most reviewers are right... The service is a bit slow but definitely made with a smile, it does seem to be the owner. The food was simply excellent. I had the pork tenderloin and his mushroom and grain mustard sauce is a dream. Their cafe gourmand is well served (more... More

Traditional excellent food in an area where the traps for tourists are legion! Small, charming place opposite the Louvre Museum and the Saint Eustache Church, it is where the local people go. The food is freshly prepared, and the owners, who do the service, are attentive to your requests. Wine by the glass is great and prices are affordable. Highly... More

This is a strong favourite for the discerning Parisians who live in the area and is normally packed at lunch and for dinner every day of the week except Sunday when they are closed. Delicious food and a seasonal menu, this is a favourite where you just can't go wrong whether for the 20euro lunch menu or for dinner. Reservations... More

We had some good meals and were pretty satisfied with the quality. It wasn't perfect though, and for the price they could have done a bit better. Although they speak English and are very friendly.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
