Friendly, great location and good french food!

I try to come to visit my friend Patrick (we have been friends for over 25 years) each time I am in Paris and I always enjoy the food and the ambiance. I live now in Poland and when I enter the restaurant I feel I am back in Paris. I got this time the steak and creme caramel and... read more

What a city..! What a city..! No cliche, this city is the city of love and beauty and everything wonderful for those who live/work there and tourists who visit in droves..! We walked and walked across the city - as we didn't want to miss a thing.,! Thank you Paris for a wonderful trip..! I'll be back..!

I was very happy to have stumbled upon this place. Most reviewers are right... The service is a bit slow but definitely made with a smile, it does seem to be the owner. The food was simply excellent. I had the pork tenderloin and his mushroom and grain mustard sauce is a dream. Their cafe gourmand is well served (more... More

Traditional excellent food in an area where the traps for tourists are legion! Small, charming place opposite the Louvre Museum and the Saint Eustache Church, it is where the local people go. The food is freshly prepared, and the owners, who do the service, are attentive to your requests. Wine by the glass is great and prices are affordable. Highly... More

This is a strong favourite for the discerning Parisians who live in the area and is normally packed at lunch and for dinner every day of the week except Sunday when they are closed. Delicious food and a seasonal menu, this is a favourite where you just can't go wrong whether for the 20euro lunch menu or for dinner. Reservations... More

We had some good meals and were pretty satisfied with the quality. It wasn't perfect though, and for the price they could have done a bit better. Although they speak English and are very friendly.

Some friends organized a diner at Le Louvre Ripaille while I crossed Paris. The venue is not very large, hosting up to 30 people max at once. The service is excellent and the staff is giving top advices with a good sense of humor. I took the nems (served by 7, with a delicious sauce), then I had a Risotto... More

We were looking for a place to eat while by the Louvre, but did not want to go to a touristy place. This place had great reviews and was very busy with locals when we arrived. Our waiter, who I think was the owner, recognized we were American and asked us if we wanted an English menu. They definitely cater... More

Great little restaurant not far from the Louvre in a quiet street. The service was a bit slow initially but the waiter was excellent and made up for it before anything was said with a glass of Champagne. Very accommodating as well as he moved us outside as soon as a table was free. Food was good, steak was nicely... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
