Delicious food

Delicious food and good quality ingredients. A slightly random menu with lots of the options composed of lots of different types of food, which made it a bit difficult to choose a dish. However, we really enjoyed the foodz

Many French people think that a suitable vegetarian alternative to meat is chicken, and are appalled that anyone would ever consider dining with no meat on the table. So it is hardly surprising that vegetarian restaurants are not that easy to find in Paris, and especially very good ones. Le Grenier de Notre Dame is an excellent exception. We had... More

Great choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Good food, however, not extraordinary (I am difficult !) Nice and friendly service and no issue eating alone. Slightly pricey.

Nice little restaurant with good ambience, background music, etc. I found it a quite expensive for vegetarian food, and a lot of "fake" meat dishes...would prefer just genuine meals where the vegetables shine, rather than reconstituted soy or whatever that fake meat is. Lack of herbs and spices, I had a veg cous cos which was OK but would have... More

Considering France is laden with dairy, this is a rare find. I was here for NYE 2015/16 and did not have a reservation, but they accommodated me by letting me sit outside (it really wasn't too chilly). The variation in the menu was pleasing and made it difficult to choose an entree. They definitely put some creativity into their meals... More

we went to this restauramt with 2 friends, I am so glad we did! place is cozy and with a good atmosphere, food is very good, value is totally accetable for paris standards. I strongly suggest the felafel (truly excellent) and the tartare of avocado and mango, one of the best thing I ever had in a veg restaurant.

You are captured by the incredible smell when you enter this lovely charming place hidden right next to Notre Dame Cathedral. The flavour and smell of the meal are an excitement to your senses ... Everything is so fresh and tasteful and the staff are very gentle and kind. Amazing environment if you are looking for great food, reasonable price... More

I was in Paris for the Climate Change Conference, accompanied by a die-hard vegetarian who scoured - and I mean scoured - the city for the best vegetarian eats. This place scored second in the top ten. The staff were friendly and accommodating; the service prompt. The atmosphere is cosy and friendly. The menu is nicely varied and all the... More

Le Grenier de Notre Dame is tucked away on a small side street on the Left Bank near the cathedral. It's hard to find good vegetarian/vegan food in Paris, and the food here is very good. My only complaint is similar to one I have for another vegan restaurant in Paris--you can't get a simple plate of cooked green vegetables!... More

We had an early dinner here after searching on Tripadvisor for a vegetarian eatery. We were rather disappointed. The two main courses were distinctly average and lacked flavour. The dessert - tarte tatin was pretty awful. The pastry was very soggy. Maybe we were just unlucky but at over 50€ for two mains, one dessert and a couple of small... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
