A real find

We had lunch here on a wet Monday in January - worth booking as it was very busy. Different inexpensive menus with barbecued meat especially good. Pleasant and quick service. In a quiet untouristy street between place de Clichy and Gare Saint Lazare. Well worth a visit.

Exquisite food, excellent service with nice ambiance and all at a very reasonable price, we will definitely return next time we visit Paris

This is consistently voted one of Paris’s best Korean restaurants and Shin Jung is the perfect spot to sample one of Asia’s refined and savory cuisines. They do Korean barbeque (grill your own meats at your table) and other standbys, always of good quality, all served with the traditional banchan, or small side dishes, usually of pickled vegetables, seaweed salad,... We went in to a moderately full restaurant, weren't seated, so we just chose a table that looked comfortable and asked if we can sit there. The waiter just smirked, said that we were only two and pointed us to a ridiculous small table in the middle of the restaurant that might or might not violate safety regulations. We certainly... We went to Shin Jung around 21.30 in the evening on a Friday and called a hour ahead to reserve a place. The person answering the phone does not speak English, so we managed to book a seat in French (even though we only know basic French) and the phone call was hilarious in it's own way (but only positive).... We spent a pretty good time in this restaurant. Meals were scrumptious, price was okay. The place warm and comfy.

A korean restaurant not in the 15th district, that’s a change ! Nevertheless it is excellent with prices similar to Jan Tchi and an extensive menu : mandu, boiled ravioli, miso soup, korean crepe, chives and seafood crepe (my favorite), jellyfish salad, ray salad, barbecue grilled beef or porc, bibimbap, jjajang noodles (covered with black sauce, vegetables and beef), sashimi,... We have been several times in this restaurant and we have always found good and cheap food as the beef or pork barbecue. The restaurant is quiete full at noon and it is located in a quiet street of Europe district.
