Nice typical atmosphere, good homemade food, friendly service (quite noticeable in Paris!). Frequented by locals also. I recommend it!

We have been there for lunch twice in the last year and have ordered the Quiche Lorraine with the side salad both times. I have not had any better anywhere. I have submitted a picture.

We walked in with 3 very hungry kids and were immediately seated and tended to. The atmosphere was very warm, and the waiters were attentive as well. We ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts and all were excellent. Our favorite was the Crème Brulee - delicious! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Paris.

Was there with American relatives who wanted to eat classic French Food! Not disappointed at all!!!! The "onion soup" was rich, tasty and full of cheese, the "foie gras" with Espelette pepper, rocky salt and chutney just mouthwatering, "Beef Bourguignon" melting in your mouth, "île flotante", "quiche Lorraine", "entrecôte", "fish of the day" .... Everybody was enthusiastic about their food.... More

This is a superb restaurant that serves both from the menu and from daily specials. The portions are plentiful, the atmosphere calm and the servers extremely pleasant and helpful. We have been there twice for lunch and have fully enjoyed both meals. Noone rushes you along, there is outside seating, and the ambiance is warm and friendly. We would certainly... More

It was Sunday night on French Mothers Day. This place had been packed all day and with limited choices we saw one empty table and sat down. The restaurant is in a small alley off of the pedestrian busy Rue Vieille du Temple where we were staying, so it was nice with some green space on a beautiful evening. The... More

We were worried our lack of French would cause problems but we had a perfect evening. The staff politely helped us get through ordering wine and 3 courses. No rushing through out the meal. The bread was plentiful. Dessert was perfect for sharing. The food was wonderful. I would say come in get a pitcher of house wine. Then. Start... More

Great spot. Good food. Normal price range for this popular area. Reasonable wines. Very kindly willing to work around dietary limitations, taking them seriously and remaining pleasant.

This is connected to Les Philosophes around the corner, and two other places next to it. They serve pretty much the same food. Expensive for the quality. I find the test of a local place are the duck dishes. Overcooked and dry, versus succulent and juicy. This place falls in the middle. I would rather go a block and try... More
