Just okay

Loved the atmosphere and the staff was great! Didn't care for the soup I ordered, but that could have just been me. I ordered the pumpkin and ginger soup with coconut shavings. The taste wasn't to my liking, but I would definitely go back to try something else.

I loved the menu, the location, and the service. Our server, Thierry, was friendly and solicitous, making us feel well looked after. When a mentally ill man/ street person hovered and approached the diners outside, he was able to take care of the situation, making us feel safe. The food & drinks were great and it was nice hanging with... More

Had an hour to kill and had 2 Happy Hour Mojitos on the pavement terrace (very good) and €9.50 plate of mixed cheeses which was both exceptionally generous in quantity as well as varied in choice and very good value. Left happy.

Loved this little bar just around the corner from our hotel. The owner was very nice and we stopped there several nights during our stay. Nice drink list and creative menu, although we didn't eat there.

BAM is empty until meal time. Then, it explodes at both lunch and dinner. It's a quiet bar in between and late at night, the scene is very urban city bar. There is a nice patio to sit outside if the weather is good, and the beer and wine list is solid, including a great Belgian we've not seen here.... More

Just a quiet little bar. Lovely to stop for a pre dinner drink. It seems to get busy later on in the evening.

Fair dinner into this small and charm restaurant in a very touristic area of Paris. I was there early and my idea was to have something quick to continue my tour. I choose the home cheese burger (meat was excellent) served with fried potatoes and salad. Fair choice of beers.

Tiny with a limited menu. Great bar seating out front. People watching fun. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food choice is limited but quite good with fair prices.

We ate here on our last night in Paris May 31 as the restaurant was just around the corner from our hotel. We were shown to a table upstairs (watch that staircase, how the staff jump up and down like mountain goats I don't know!) by a most charming waiter with impeccable English. Interesting view of the restaurant from there.The... More

A colleague recommended this as his favorite spot in Paris and I was terribly disappointed. I ordered an egg and gingerbread starter that I couldn't eat (it's been a very long time since I refused to eat something) and, while my main course was okay, it was nothing to write home about. The food was mediocre but the service was... More

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
