I was looking forward to eating here...I love anything Spanish. The waiter suggested we let the Chef select our food, it was a "deal". So instead of getting salumi and croquettes we had molecular type cookery starters and a gel dessert. I was so disappointed. The Paella was delicious. So stick to the a la carte menu.

The setting is beautiful, and it's conveniently located near Notre Dame along the Seine. The wait staff was efficient and professional and they offer menus in English (a big red flag, especially in a location so close to a major tourist attraction). We had some wine and tapas, starting with the chicken and cheese croquetas. They were warm and would... More

6 of us ate here for lunch. We had a variety of tapas dishes which were ample in size and of excellent quality. The service was good, friendly and efficient. The ambience was not up to much and neither was thview from the window which we thought overlooked the Seine but was obscured by hoardings so hence the 2G.....Good food... More

I found this place on Yelp while looking for Spanish food in Paris. We are Hispanic and were wanting to eat things with some of our familiar flavors. We loved this place, the people and service, as well as the are it is in. There was a group of 6 and we shared 2 paellas and tried some new things.... More

We were in Paris for a week, always having lunch and dinner in restaurants. This one was the best we tried. We eat five of the small dishes shown at the end of the menu.

If you want to taste high end spanish cuisine you should definitely try El Fogon! We ordered a vegetarian paella which was perfectly cooked and fresh. The ingredients are top and you really feel that the food is cooked to the order. Service is very nice and the location is exceptionnal by the Seine.

We went to this restaurant on our last night in Paris expecting to have delicious Paella. Instead, we were served stale bread in a bag that was basically thrown at us and a version of Paella that we had never eaten before. We ordered Paella with shrimp, cuddlefish and vegetables. What we got was a shallow, dry pan of flat,... More

Went to this restaurant with friends after reading a positive review in the newspaper. The restaurant is situated close to Notre Dame and is easy to find. The service was friendly and there was a nice, busy atmosphere. The food was no more than average .... Yet the prices were top end ... For four people we had a starter... More

We especially went there for the Paella because there was an extensive article in Le Monde about the chef Alberto Herraiz who was supposed to have re-invented the Paella. We had reserved on the internet as this restaurant seems to be very "à la mode" these days, and the staff made sure that we really would come by sending an... More

An outstanding restaurant in Paris. I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The chef is really friendly and recommends the must-haves on the menu. Definitely try the Pallella a l'encre de seiche. Unforgettable culinary experience! We got the cookbook as well, highly recommended
