Description: When you step into this timeless venue, you will discover a festive restaurant straight out of a storybook and the imaginary world of Asterix. The success of the now well-known concept is based on a simple, but effective idea: long rows of tables, mixed salad, grills and wine served from the barrel, all in gigantic quantities. Also worth mentioning is the outstanding welcome which contributes to the friendly atmosphere.24/12 menu: Unlimited salads and dry sausages - Meat grilled over a wood fire - Mature cheese platter - Seasonal Fruit Basket - Christmas log - glass of champagne - Red Bordeaux wine at the barrel ad libitumNew year's eve: Potion - Unlimited salads and dry sausages - Rossini Tournedos - Apple sherbet calvados - Mature cheese - Seasonal Fruit Basket - Dessert - glass of champagne - coffee - Red Bordeaux wine at the barrel ad libitum

Recommended by my father, a long-time fan, we knew what to expect before we went. Not the best food you'll ever find in Paris but really good food and plenty of it. You get a huge crudite basket and a selection of charcuterie from the buffet. Then a choice of roasted meats with vegetables for main course and then a... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a resident of Paris. It is a great escape from the touristy spots. The restaurant has incredible ambiance, which is helped by the strolling musicians. The rustic tables make for a cozy and relaxing environment. Each table is setup with a bushel of fresh veges to share with your table mates. As patrons... More

The Inside of an old auberge from the time of Gaulle, a lot of ambiance as people go there to have a good laugh and fun (thanks to red Bordeaux wine at discretion!), overall a place for an evening not to take oneself too seriously and let it go! A 40E per person formula (wine included): a basket of raw... More

We ate here our first night in Paris based on a recommendation from a local. We were delighted to learn they could squeeze us in without reservations. Turned out to be one of our best meals. The shared dining table encourages conversation with other travelers and we ended up sharing a fun evening with a father & daughter from Argentina.... More

It's not suitable for romantic dinners because it's loud, but once you get there they put a basket of fresh vegetables that seem to have just got there from the farm. You can drink as much wine as you want as eat as much "charcuterie" as you are able to. A bard will sing traditional French music and you will... More

Ambiance is absolutely perfect. We went with a group and I was charmed immediately with the rustic feel and live guitarists that came to each table. The food was amazing. One of the best places I've ever been to! Some places can accomplish ambiance, and some can offer amazing food, but this place does both perfectly!!

This restaurant is pure fun. The atmosphere is simply for entertainment purposes. It is cave-like without any windows. Sure the food is not exceptional by any means, but it's really more of a novelty restaurant (like Rainforest Cafe). I really think children would have a great time here. I found it to be reasonably priced. They have unlimited cheese and... More

If you are in a group and want a joyous songfest without having excellent food to eat this is it! Sorta Denny's in Paris. I like the management and staff of this place but it is somewhat offensive to think of Paris and food from this place in the same sentence. It you normally eat at Denny's then you'll love... More

Have been at this restaurant three times. First time - five years ago - the food was excellent, three year's ago it was ok, and now it was a disaster! The salad was old (brown!), the meat was pre-grilled and so cold that we had to send it back and the service is under average. And the entertainment get worse... More
