I came to Paris for 3 days with my mother and our host listed this as one of his favourite places to visit so we were excited to go there. We we put in a tiny table between two other tables with little to no room and felt like intruders when we tried to talk. There was no space -... More

My wife and I arrived at the Restaurant about 3 pm after a long walk round the 11th arrondissment on 28th of August. We had visited the eatery in the past and had enjoyed excellent food and been impressed by the dynamic young local crowd eating there. We asked the waitress Alisson whether we could eat so late and she... More

Decent meal at a reasonable price, what in years gone by one would have got from the Guide Routier (whatever become of that?). I can believe that, as other reviews have indicated, the recent change of management might have let former standards slip, but we had two perfectly good meals there at the end of July, with four Francophobe young... Recent reviewers right. Worst food I've eaten in Paris…..average service. Pretty grubby looking plates, water bottles, etc. But food worst of all. Main course of Veal entombed in cheese, ham and great potatoes was pretty hideous. Avoid!

I had the unfortunate experience of proving recent reviewers totally correct about the bad food quality compared to its previous level. I had the confit du canard, and the grease dripped from it. I found some meat I could eat after stripping off the skin. Grease level same for the pommes frites served with it. Kind of a scuzzy neighborhood,... More

Warning. All previous food reviews are no longer valid. This restaurant is under new ownership: New chef and all personnel. I spoke to Roy, the previous owner and several of the staff prior to the sale. Nobody was staying. Still the same charming building but look for new food reviews. I believe it changed hands around mid-March to early April... More

Food was okay but not exceptional. Wine was poor and not good value. Service was very inattentive. We had to wait repeatedly for things requested (even menus) and it seemed like our presence was a hassle! Such a shame as the setting was very pleasant and the recommendations rather good!

You may like this food. If you like greasy, rustic, heavy on the cheese and fatty-meats--then you might like this. But the food masquerading as French home-cooking classics is a actually tossed-together greasy-spoon fraud. So is the indifferent service: a impatient hipster with attitude who seemed to have some issues with the role of service-provider. In which case, he might... More

We found this restaurant by chance whilst entertaining some English friends in Paris. We wanted to find a reasonable priced, french cuisine resto which would be worth the money. The smell of delicious food wafts up your nose as soon as you enter the restaurant. For this reason we had no problem agreeing to a 20/30 minute for a table.... More

Great friendly little place with loads of character. Beautiful old interior, magnificent tile floors, very cool stone cellar area, magnificent worn oak stairway to the upstairs bathroom. This is not your "standard" French cuisine, but rather has a more homey feel to it. Comfort cuisine. I have eaten several dishes here, having been four times (I think). A wonderful veal... More
