Amazing !

From the U.S, was one of the best meals I ever had . The service was spectacular, the food was fresh, very friendly. I was unsure what to eat and he translated the menus in English for me as well offered if I did not like it would make something else . The price is very reasonable . Appetizer... read more

There's nothing wrong with eating frozen food if you heat it properly. I started eating the lamb shank mixing it with hot mash so I didn't immediately notice that the meat was lukewarm although I was surprised by its pinkness. It' only when I got to the centre that I tasted the chill of ICE. At that point I sent... More

I picked Lui l'insolent on Trip Advisor as a nearby local and creative French restaurant for a dinner meal. We were joined by traveling companons for our last night meal in Paris. This small entrepreneurial run restaurant was a super choice and, in my opinion, worth all the positive reviews. I had a deliciously tender lamb shank for my main... More

We googled the reviews of this restaurant and were excited to try it. We walked in at 9:30pm, which is late but the restaurant is apparently known for late night dining (according to information I read in the reviews). Anyway, the waitress took one look at us and said that they were finished for the night. While I appreciate that... More

We were three spending our final evening in Paris after a month's visit. We chose Lui L'Insolent because it was very near our apartment and always gave off unbelievably delicious aromas. One afternoon, the owner kindly allowed me to use his restroom even tho they weren't open. We started our meal with an aperitif of champagne. We found their appetizer... More

Last night we ate at the highly regarded Chez George. We had a good dinner and spent 160 Euros for two. The only memorable thing was the waitress, who was great. Tonight we stayed in our neighborhood and dined at Lui l'Insolent. What a difference. The restaurant was small and we were early for dinner in Paris. It quickly filled... More

During our stay in Paris, we were looking for a nice place to treat ourselves in the neighborhood or our hotel in Montmartre. Thanks to very illustrative reviews from TripAdvisor :) we made a reservation for a dinner in this restaurant and the experience was really great. Tasty and delicious food, all compliments to the chef!, and a good value... More

Our hosts in Paris said, "This is one of the first places we recommend to anyone staying in the area. It is a great entry into simple, delicious, fresh and affordable French food. The chalk-board menu changes frequently and it usually includes...Plan to get there early whether it's for lunch or for dinner if you do not reserve." Our advice?... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
