Just fab!

We felt so welcome at this friendly and absolutely superb restaurant! Although after discussion it's more of a pub that does food - but in a fantastically French style. we had the wine of the month, which was gorgeous, and because our French isn't so good we had a degussation that the chef chose... read more

We felt so welcome at this friendly and absolutely superb restaurant! Although after discussion it's more of a pub that does food - but in a fantastically French style. we had the wine of the month, which was gorgeous, and because our French isn't so good we had a degussation that the chef chose - so eight cheeses and meats... If you feel like good food in easy atmosphere go there. We had beef - beautiful cut and wine that was recommended was spot on too! :-)

You know you're in the right place when all the locals are there. Locals soon work out where the good food, good wine and good value is. And it's here in spades. If you like somewhere quiet, sedate, overly processed, twee... then find another place... cause this ain't it. Add to that, Yann and the crew have an easy manner... More

Found this restaraunt by chance when my son looked in and said "this place looks cool". He was right. The food was outstanding, the wine selection better, and the staff was very accommodating. This will be a stop any time I am in Paris. After reading these reviews, next time I'll try some cheese!

I was really craving some stellar, fresh French cheese and knew this place was close by. We booked at table and were glad we did. It's a small venue and every table was full. We each had a salad with charcuterie and cheeses and it was all fresh and lovely, but the two things that stand out are the wines... More

Went here the other night! Slightly remote part of rue de la roquette, in that it's beyond the busy/noisy bars, but it was fantastic. Lovely service, the best bottle of Bordeaux and we had a charcuterie/cheese platter to share between the two of us. Came to about €50. Great value, atmosphere, authentic shabby parís wine and dine.

We stumbled across this place whilst waiting to meet some friends last night and I'm so glad we did. The crowd was lively and friendly, the food delicious, and the wine and their speciality, Calvados, were divine. Lovely, welcoming staff and after 10 there was great live music. It was the best vibe of anywhere I've been to so far... More

My friend took me to this place and I've never forgotten it Near Nation tube, I've not always found it easy to find and it does close in August (I think) for the owners to go and source new cheeses and meats from around France and have a holiday :) Basically it has a great selection of cheeses and wines... We found this place by chance & it was perfect for passing tourists to Paris like us ~ full of local people enjoying life. The owner used to be a wine salesman so he knows his stuff. Sit back, relax and follow his recommendations. And great value at €35 per head for all food and drink including beer wine and... More
