Good Italian in France.

Pastas delicious, we had the veal vienner schnitzel. Very filling and delicious. Good wine selection. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed beautiful evening. Busy place. Waiter did not speak English other than just get by. Good service.

A superb and delightful Italian experience in the heart of Paris. After dealing with Paris arrogance at lunch (elsewhere), it was wonderful to enjoy a meal and sense that the staff enjoyed serving it to us. Pasta was fantastic. Service better. Wine suggestions on target -- and NOT pushing a particularly price point. Tempted to dine here every night through... More

On our last night in Paris, having had enough of heavy French food, we stumbled upon this lovely Italian restaurant. It was refreshingly "spacious" by Parisian standards (meaning you can walk between the tables), the terrace was nicely separated from the pavement, the tables were set with white clothes and the seats were nicely cushioned. My husband had I, both... More

Nice to sit outside and have great Italian food while in Paris. Very professional staff and friendly. Pasta was amazing! Great spot to go in Saint Germain area.

Not only is the food delicious and the service professional, this classic Italian's location is perfect: on a lovely corner in St. Germain. The covered terrace is a great place to enjoy lunch and people watching. We ordered salads followed by pasta dishes, all expertly prepared. The al dente pastas, spaghetti al pomodoro e basilico and tagliatelle paglia e fieno,... More

Our normally great concierge recommended this as last minute Italian open on a Sunday night - what a shame. Not in any way special Italian food and service was also not great. A disappointment.

After two weeks of French food we were looking for a change of pace. This place was recommended by a hotel concierge we trusted . The food wasn't bad, but nothing special. It was also quite expensive if you order multiple courses and bottles of wine. The service was very good. The wine list is extremely limited for a high... More

My wife was craving Pasta Bolognese and this restaurant, which was near our hotel, was recommended by the concierge. We were glad to have followed her suggestion. The pasta was superb, the service first-rate, and the desserts sublime. We did not have a bade meal in Paris, but our dinner at Marco Polo was definitely one of the best.

In Paris? Only want French food? I invite you to think Italian, in particular Marco Polo Italian. Located close to Bd Saint Germain, in the 6th district, this restaurant is exceptional. I go there just to have what seems like the simplest, most ordinary dish - spaghetti al pomodora et basilico. Ostensibly just pasta with a tomato sauce, this is... More

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères.
