Great place to go. Good service.

Fun place to go, good service, good food, it's just a bit noisy! Despite the fact that the restaurant was full, the service was good and the staff was really helpful. My Cheeseburger was a bit overdone so I will ask for it less cooked next time but I will definitely go back.

The restuarant is typically Parisian, with a tiny terrace outside BUT the food is great, the service is just terrific and overall GUY is so friendly and nice. Thanks for the good time.

My friend and I stopped in here on our last day in Paris and we were absolutely delighted. I had a Chicken Caesar salad and she had turkey and avocado cobb-type salad ( which soon became one of our favourites). Nice rose and wine list. The server was an absolute doll who beamed smiles at all of his customers. The... More

I visit this restaurant quite regularly being 5 minus down the road from our office in Paris. The quality of the food and the service are excellent. My favourite is a classic tartare, excellent meet served with homemade chunky chips. They also offer daily set menu.

Lovely Breakfast, pastries and bread were delicious. The waitress was friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The eggs were cooked to perfection and there was just too much food to eat!!

Very nice atmosphere, excellent value for money in this restaurant where you can find typical Bistro food. The Camembert Grille and the Ardoise are just really nice starters, the Cotes de Boeuf is excellent (and they really understand what Rare means!) and the desert are amazing. Just the perfect adress to spend a nice evening with friends... Oh yes, and... More

It was my 3rd time in this restaurant last week and, well... the atmosphere is cool, the service nice, the price cheap... but the food is just okay... They make house-made French Fries but as they probably keep them warm instead of making them to order, they are veeeeeeeeeeery soggy :( fortunately the burger is good (but just good, nothing... we were out walking all day & were heading back to apt that we rented for 6 days & saw a man eating a great looking hamburg. It seemed to hit the right bell in our head & we sat down & ordered. we all had hamgurgers & hand cut fries. It just seemed so French to be sitting on... More

While Parisian sidewalk restaurants and brassiers are one of the city’s best landmarks, there are much better options than the view from La Contoche. People watching is replaced by bike and car watching. It is a busy intersection for all types of movement, but the view is better blocks down Rue Montmartre towards Les Halles. No English menu. Food is... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
