Charming, authentic French restauraknt

Nice menu, fair prices, good wine list and tasty food. From burgundy snails, to white asparagus, boeuf Bourgogne and great dessert. Kids friendly and nice staff.

Last night was the first time I had ever eaten Razor Clams and they were wonderful. I had never heard of them. The waiter strongly recommended that I try them. Preparation is sautéed and served in a very tasty broth. If you are OK with shell fish, you MUST try these. They are unusual and very, very good. My entrée... More

We were staying a block away from this restaurant and decided to try something near by so we could walk and have some wine. This little restaurant is right by the metro exit for Chatelet. It was warm and inviting and we were not sorry with our choice. I started with a most delicious soup, asparagus and leek soup. Yummy.... More

Delightful host who speaks English. White Asparagus was the highlight. Duck is first rate. Boef Bourgainon is simple and delicious.

Small family run restaurant. Booked in advance and glad we did, as it became full very quickly with local family groups. The food was excellent and the house red was super. Value for money for a central restaurant a minutes walk from Chatelet metro stop. Staff were very friendly and happy to be of service. Would definitely go back again.

Ate here twice as so good. Tiny restaurant, with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Small menu and all the food is freshly prepared and cooked, down to the lovely raspberry liqueur served with the trio of desserts. Was no bother to open a bottle of wine just to have two glasses from it. Go, eat and be amazed by the quality... More

Had booked in advance (needs to be done by phone or email) which seemed necessary as became very busy. Good meal of traditional French specialities, but be warned the helpings are generous.

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times during my previous trips to Paris. We went to this place twice during this trip, for the same reason, their beef burgundy. The place is located near Chatlet, very central. Other than their beef burgundy, they have a very extensive wine selection. Also, try their clams. One of the appetizer... More

I had dinner here one night and the food was fantastic! The service was good too as the waitress spoke some English. Very nice selection of wines, great atmosphere, small place, big taste! I had foie gras (15E), pork chop (23E), gourmand cafe (8E). I found the foie gras to be quite good. The pork chop was very thick and... More

Recommended by friends we ended up in this restaurant with a group of friends on our arrival and only dinner in Paris , what a great surprise , ok the restaurant is full but dont get me wrong , customers are regular , not a touristic trap like you have in Paris in this area. Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
