Great udon

Pretty legit udon in Paris. My brother suggested this place for lunch. There a wait when we arrived but we didn't wait too long. We sat at a long communal table with stools. All the tables are super close to each other. Not the place to dine if you are claustrophobic. I ordered an udon with shrimp... read more

I am a frequent customer of Kunitoraya rue Villedo. Most of the time there is a long queue to seat and eat. The oden mori is my favorite, and all udon are excellent. Elegant and rafinate. Simple, you eat on wooden tables, I love to be seated by the bar on the wondow watching the street.

We were excited to explore the Little Tokyo district in the heart of Paris. Part of the excitement was the anticipation of trying the highly rated Kunitoraya udon noodles, mouth-watering food that I had heard about in the weeks before arriving in Paris. Reaching the noodle joint, we joined a queue (later found out this place is hardly without one)... More

Though on the pricy side, the food at Kunitoraya's streetside restaurant is worth the wait. Fine flavours and excellent beignet. We tried to get adventurous with unknown starters and were not so happy with them, especially given their price. But the mains are all mostly great!

Probably the best udon noodles I ever had. Seriously. My wife and I ordered the shrimp tempura udon and the Kunitora udon, which is their signature udon with thinly sliced pork. Both dishes were really well-flavored. The shrimp tempura was fried perfectly, and the broth was clean and had great umami. The pork udon was rich and savory. They used... More

Udon are normal, but the tenpura are tasty. 4 stars because the last one is for the price : it's a bit expensive for only a bowl of udon and 2 tenpuras.

When it is fine day, it is a nice place to meet friend. Taste good, look good, but you have to take a lot of water. You can't sit where you want, you must follow the order of the waiter. And you can't understand the regular, because there is a table, the waiter just don't want you to sit there,... More

I've been to this restaurant twice during the last two months. It is very centrally located, in the 2e Arrondissement, on the rue Villedo, a small street that connects rue Richelieu to rue Sainte-Anne, the temple of Japanese cuisine. The restaurant is quite small, consisting in just one long and narrow room, facing the street, over which it looks through... More
