Udon not to be missed

I've been to this restaurant twice during the last two months. It is very centrally located, in the 2e Arrondissement, on the rue Villedo, a small street that connects rue Richelieu to rue Sainte-Anne, the temple of Japanese cuisine. We had lunch there and the first contact with a waitress was almost rude. The place was crowded, thus at the time we tried to step in the restaurant we were ejected, in a way a bit unfriendly too my taste, and we had to wait outside in a cold and gloomy day of Paris winter. But nothing could make... More

Went there based on a magazine recommendations. Place was filled with locals. The waitress was extremely rude and would get orders from locals first. Was so bad that a couple next to us who arrived at the same time would get the order first, eat their meal, and leave before we got an order. Also waitress gave us terrible recommendations... More

This was, believe it or not, my first time ever eating udon noodles. So I don't really have anything else to compare it to, but I really dug this place. First off, you know it's good when people are willing to wait almost half and hour outside in the cold for table. Once in, the vibe is cool, with basically... More

in this restaurant you get the best of japanese udon noodle soup available in paris. since they have relocated in villedo street it is always a pleasure to enjoy a lunch there. the noodles are melting in your mouth and the broth is outstanding. i would recommend this place to anyone wishing to experience a real japanese treat.

My (Parisian) cousin took us out here. He works in the restaurant industry in Paris and I trust his opinion in general - this was no exception. Service was friendly; waiter suggestions were good; our dishes were fantastic. Not over fancy presentation, but elegant and nice nonetheless. And very tasty. It was a hot day and a cold udon noodle... More

There are many Japanese restaurants in Paris, but only a few authentic ones. Kunitoraya is an excellent place to get some Japanese tappas and home made Udon noodles along with an ice cold Kirin beer.
