This is a good choice if you want a break from French food and want something very different. It is, of course, far from the best food in Paris. It is a good choice if you want Udon noodles or rice dishes. Not exactly Japanese food (not sushi). It is a low key, crowded place with Communial tables. The service... More

We had just visited the Epices Roellinger for some spices, and were looking for a soba noodle restaurant that we had seen on a previous visit. We happened by a corner restaurant, with no sign what so ever to indicate what it was. However, we could see that the many patrons were eating udon noodles and tempura, and some had... More

We were staying right down the block and decided to pop in when we happened by and saw a couple of spots open up at one of the communal tables--a rare event since there is often a long queue. Service was prompt and friendly and the udon--I'm no expert--seemed fine, though I was not overwhelmed by the taste or texture... More

The exlierence in this great little restaurant is Udon at its best! The locals who were there raved that it was as good as any they had eaten in Japan. We thought it was the best we had ever had. Service really friendly, prompt. I recommend this small fun restaurant where you share tables as a very fun expierence...

If you expect tasting a real Japanese Udon, you will be disappointed with this restaurant. Udon is close to real Japanese Udon noodle but its cooking way is far from real Japanese style. If you really want to taste Japanese Udon, I do not recommend this place but acceptable for tourists.

This is by far my favorite Japanese restaurant in Paris for udon. Kind service and yummy dishes bringing me back to years spent living in Japan. I recommend it but you must arrive early as there is always a line!

We waited just 10 minutes so we have been lucky because this place is always packed with the line outside. The food is great, one of the best I had in paris..the tempura is fantastic, same for the udon. The staff is really kind, but they speak a really poor english. Overall a great place to go if you wanna... More

Kunitoraya is a small place near Opera Garnier, maybe that's why there's always, anytime of the day, a queue in front of it. Maybe it's because there's great food there also. And you bet there is. Even though there's a huge offer of asian restaurants in Rue Sainte-Anne, only 3 or 4 of them have a queue at the door.... More

I'm surprised this place isn't rated higher on here! The meal we had here was our favorite in Paris. I know, I know, you should probably eat French food when in France. But, we needed a break-- if you're on vacation right there reading this, I'm sure you understand. We were tired of heavy butter and cream dishes, and Paris... More
