There are many Japanese restaurants in Paris, but only a few authentic ones. Kunitoraya is an excellent place to get some Japanese tappas and home made Udon noodles along with an ice cold Kirin beer.

Nice little noodle Japanese restaurant run by real Japanese, exactly the kind of restaurant you can find in Tokyo with a very long line at the entrance (at least for Paris standard). Much better than all these average sushi places in Paris.

Ok I got excited by this place. It looked fabulous and getting there 7.30 on Saturday night meant we missed the long lines that all these lovely little places amass. The food was fresh and authentic, the language was French or Japanese( neither of which is my forté ) but we managed. Most of the places ( as you might... More

We came one Thursday evening on account of a recommendation and waited over 1 hour before being seated. My feet hurt so much after spending the day sightseeing and there were lots of empty spots at the bar which were not used for customers. Once at a table, the food and drinks arrived quickly and were all satisfactory, though the... More

The restaurant was close to our apartment and recommended by our Asian chauffeur. They serve casual and authentic Japanese Udon and Rice dishes in a informal cafe setting. Menu list was short but had good variety of food. Quality was very good, service quite efficient and prices very reasonable for Paris. Tables are small and close together and there were... More

Food was surprisingly good. Beef was juicy. Very tasting rice. Nice combinations of taste. It was worth the waiting time which was rather very long. Staff proffesional, do not miss the smile. But they have extremely uncomfy chairs and interior now looks like something between kitchen and construction site.

The restaurant looks a bit quirky and trendy, with its post industrial look meets Japan, its long tables to share with the other guests. The food is great and traditional, from the noodle soups to the katsudon pork. Great flavours, quick service. It's certainly a change from the usual sushi or yakitori, and a very unusual combination of dishes for... More

as a Japanese living in Paris I usually cook japanese food by myself but sometimes I feel like to eat out.for a long time i'd not eaten out in Japanese restaurant so, I was looking forward. I think I orderd a MISO Radish&pork (I could imagine like a miso tasted stew... More

This is a good choice if you want a break from French food and want something very different. It is, of course, far from the best food in Paris. It is a good choice if you want Udon noodles or rice dishes. Not exactly Japanese food (not sushi). It is a low key, crowded place with Communial tables. The service... More

We had just visited the Epices Roellinger for some spices, and were looking for a soba noodle restaurant that we had seen on a previous visit. We happened by a corner restaurant, with no sign what so ever to indicate what it was. However, we could see that the many patrons were eating udon noodles and tempura, and some had... More
