Before my trip I picked this restaurant to have cassoulet. It is supposed to be one of the better cassoulets in Paris. The restaurant is casual. Prices are reasonable. I'm not an expert on cassoulet but I thought it was good. I wouldn't run back to this restaurant but it is good for the money.

Reasonable prices for generous portions of delicious good food, superb apple cake. Don't be surprised if there is a queue of an evening!

I loved this restaurant. I had never had Basque style food before, and it was very thick and cheesy (got the veal). I absolutely loved it. My wife got the duck which was very good as well. She is not a very adventurous eater, so the menu was fairly limited for her, but she enjoyed the duck just fine (I... More

For a relaxed and always bustling kitchen in Paris' village-like Butte aux Cailles 'hood, we found you cant beat this eatery for South-West Basque cuisine. When you hear the term 'cheek-by- jowl' the body contact here was terrific. Sitting tight is nothing compared to the leg and arm contact afforded by the closely- squashed tables. It certainly ensures conversations flowed... More

This is a very happening bistro/cafe on St. Germain. My husband and I decided to see what the draw was. Their specialty is basque region cuisine. Just not my favorite and I felt the tables were too close together. I was used to sitting tight but this was pretty ridiculous. And I'm tiny...

Very delicious, lots of choices, and large quantities. This place is really a bargain for what you get, hence why they are generally always full. I have been here twice, and each time I really loved it. High quality food. Love love loved the Escalope de veau Montagnarde.

Every time we are in Paris we make sure to stop in here for a meal. Their salads are amazing, and are very affordable. I highly recommend a visit here, but probably don't go with a group larger than 4, as you often have to wait for a table, and it is quite small.

We ate here on our 2nd day in Paris. It was raining as we ventured into the east end of the Latin Quarter. We were tired and hungry, not seeming to find the fix prix menu I’d read so much about. We decided that the next restaurant we came across, we’d just go in and eat. It was 4pm by... More

Went to Gladines after a tip from a friend who lived in Paris a long time and... loved it: great food, great service (if you´ve been here you´ll know great service is NOT a common thing over here..). My daughter had veau a la montagnarde and I had a salad saint germain. Fantastic food. And very good price too!

Impressed with the quality of the meals provided , and the wine and beer were not too dear as in some other places. This is a locals place and you have to 'go with the flow' but that added to the experience . 2 starters 2 mains and wine /beer was 60e. great atmosphere with all the vocal locals.
