The real experience

Eating at Chez Gladines is the real experience for real south-western french cuisine. I took the five diamond salad and it was delicious. It was so heavy that I couldn't finish it. Don't go there to loose weight but rather to experience something new and good at a very affordable price.

I ate there early in the evening, so I may have missed out on the ambiance. Even though there were very few customers, the waiters were busy entertaining each other and weren't paying much attention. Every other restaurant I visited this time had far better service. The food was mediocre at best.

If you're tired of overthought French food..stop in at Chez Gladines for some hearty, fresh unique food from the Basque country. Always lively with students (at least the the St, Germain location) love the complete salad...greens, melted cantal cheese, warm potatoes, boled egg, thinly sliced ham etc. Doesn't pretend to be low calorie....but delicious generous portions keeps you coming back.... The food is real great, but after eating your meal (knowing that I couldn't continue plate ) , you will feel bloated and tired for the rest of the day because of the fatty nature of the food (so try to chose wisely) ... Prices are very good

The wait for this place is a little ridiculous and you will probably share your table with others. That said the food was worth the wait and the other couple we ended up eating dinner with was very social. By the end of the meal the dinner felt more like a double date rather than a meal with strangers. I... More

Simple French diner experience. Waiter accommodating of our poor French. Atmosphere is friendly but not advised for a romantic meal. Meals are of generous portions and cooked very fresh. Offers a variety of interesting French cuisine.

Excellent food with typical french plates. It's absolutely a bistrot to stop, to seat and to eat the delicious plates that offers. I take "... de Montagnarde" (pork meat, ham, potatoes, cheese, mushrooms), wou!! Really a goodness! Salads too are excellent, very rich and full of foods. The staff is very charming, pleasant, friendly and kind. A great experience, I... More

Very good food, different, unique, high quality and quantity, inexpensive! Small place, you have to share the table, but it's fun, always full of people!

I was scheduled here with a large group, and my experience was awful. They has grouped another big group after us, so they were rushing my group to finish in time. I had ordered a vegetarian meal, which took longer for them to prepare and deliver it to myself. By this time, I had between 5-10 min before they made... More

We ate here based on trip advisor reviews, and the reviews are accurate, this place is delicious! I had the cod in carrot cream sauce, my partner had a foie gras omelet and our child had the potatoes with ham and cheese, which is a very large portion. The salads coming out of the kitchen also looked great, and all... More
