Description: Please note that this restaurant only accepts group bookings of 15 and above. Dans Le Noir? Restaurant in Paris Beaubourg quarter offers an extraordinary, heightened experience of taste, touch and sound but not of sight. At Dans Le Noir? Your meal is served by blind waiters and taken in total darkness. This restaurant, the inspiration of a blind charity, began as a way to encourage sighted people to experience blindness for a bit. But Parisians have adored the experience and pack out the place. You have a drink and place your order in the well-lit bar area before being led by touch into the totally darkened dining room. Some diners report fascinating shifts of perception as they eat and talk. After dinner, you adjourn to the lounge to unwind a bit. The dcor of the lounge and bar is smart contemporary in style and very comfortable. The menu is modern French of a high order. The experience? You must decide for yourself.

I visited recently with a friend who had been to a blind noir in Canada. The food there was a lot better which I can believe, because in Paris it was almost inedible. The experience is great and the waitress was charming, but I thought that they missed a trick here......without one sense then another is hightened and good food... More

Myself and my wife visited Dans Le Noir last weekend and it was a unique experience. We had a 3 course meal and 3 glasses of wine that were all selected by our waiter and cost 64 euros each. There were other menus to chose from though. The food itself, as others have mentioned, was not the best but the... More

A once in a lifetime experience you should have! Having dinner in complet darkness makes you so much more aware of your other senses. It's not at all a scary experience, as the personal guides you through every step. I took this restaurant to meet up with a boyfriend I haven't see for long and I was excited to see... More

The principle of the place is great: let your taste, your palate take over. As you get in, you will chose a formula, let them know of your food allergies and drop all your light emitting objects in a locker (phones, watches...) Then a blind waiter takes you into the pitch black eating room (beware, some find it challenging) You... More

You would say an eye opener restaurant, but only metaphorical. Unbelievable how the waiters can serve and entertain guests in what seems to be a crowded narrow restaurant in complete darkness. The food is okay, the experience is worth doing. Maybe not every weekend, but at least once in your life! Respect.

We had a great experience to have dinner in the total dark. The service a absolute great. The people who work in the restaurant have a great feeling to give the guests a great time. It's a thing you HAVE to do once in your life:-)

Me and my husband are both foodies and always look for special restaurants when we travel abroad, so Dans Le Noir seemed like a good idea. We made reservations and went to the restaurant. The hostess in the lit bar took our details and our food allergies since the menu is a surprise. I informed her that i cannot eat... More

It's really a totally new feeling of gastronomy. Eating in absolute dark, experiencing this kind of life, and discover the food first by your fingers. Everything is so different. It's expensive but worth a visit. Except that there were a group of 4 French local young people who talked as if no one around. The voices were almost shouted out... More

I visited this restaurant and I loved the concept, all staff are blind and the place is dark. So you live and feel how blind people do. Everything is surprise, It's a nice and first fun experience for me. When you go out you will feel good-Thanks God

Dans le noir is almost a must place to experience. Eating in the dark without knowing whatever you are eating is a bit creepy but it is fun and a worthy experience in Paris. It is too expensive though but it is one of those rare experiences that one should have. However, just like most experiences it is more fun... More
