Description: Please note that this restaurant only accepts group bookings of 15 and above. Dans Le Noir? Restaurant in Paris Beaubourg quarter offers an extraordinary, heightened experience of taste, touch and sound but not of sight. At Dans Le Noir? Your meal is served by blind waiters and taken in total darkness. This restaurant, the inspiration of a blind charity, began as a way to encourage sighted people to experience blindness for a bit. But Parisians have adored the experience and pack out the place. You have a drink and place your order in the well-lit bar area before being led by touch into the totally darkened dining room. Some diners report fascinating shifts of perception as they eat and talk. After dinner, you adjourn to the lounge to unwind a bit. The dcor of the lounge and bar is smart contemporary in style and very comfortable. The menu is modern French of a high order. The experience? You must decide for yourself.

If you want to have a really different experience and surprise yourself, definitely visit Dans le noir. This is not a gastronomic restaurant and never meant to be, but the whole impression from eating in compete darkness, talking to the strangers at your table that you never saw and guessing together, what exactly you're tasting - c'est incroyable! Be sure... More

We had a fantastic experience with Alicia last night. Loved trying to determine what we were eating without the benefit of sight. Service was great and the food was tasty. Our 12 year old had a wonderful time. We all have hugely renewed respect for those without sight who so effortlessly and gracefully make the dark their partner. Huge gratitude... More

This is a one off unique experience I feel everyone shoudl try once. As a fussy eater, I found the experience pushed my bounddaries and whilst I was nervous I enjoyed it. The food is not spectacular but it's created to play with your sences with different temperatures, texutres & flavours.

It was exciting to share this experience with friends. Everyone should allow themselves to enjoy this once. The sensorial aspects are memorable. Very funny when you're trying to guess what is on your plate. I recommend the menu with wines (try not to spill them on your girlfriend!).

I loved our dinner at this very unique restaurant in Paris! The people were friendly and the food was good too. You are led into a completely dark room by a sight impaired server and no light at all, as they seat you.I found it very fun to talk with my family and eat my food in absolute darkness. You try... We visited. We laughed. We experienced. The waitress was amazing. The atmosphere great as our sight is one of our most valuable and when it's taken away, it's a whole different world. Smells and sounds come alive. Textures live. And imagination and intuition is alive! Must try the one in London now. Have recommended the experience to everyone I have... More

We found this restaurant online, and made a reservation without knowing what to expect. But after the experience we where overwhelmed with the unique moment that Dans Le Noir offered us. The Blind staff where fantastic and since the moment you enter the dining room from the moment you get out, everything its about the senses, the tasting, the touch... More

Found this place on line, Me and my girlfriend thought we would give it a go. You have to make a reservation before you go far as I know they don't do walk ins. The staff were very friendly and understanding that we didn't speak french and explained the entire experience to us. You get a few menu options to... More

I heard about this place years ago and now it's a chain in different countries. On the basis that you should try everything once, I booked. We had two children under 12 with us and really it was for them to experience what's it's like to use other senses more and alto to appreciate what blind people have to endure.... More

The first thing that hit us as we entered the front door was the stale smell which reminded me of an old people's home. I remembered that the website had praised the menu 'created with the help of the famous French chef Olivier Romain' so I had to get passed the smell and look forward to the meal. We chose... More
