Interesting experience

We went there on a Saturday for lunch. Reservation necessary, but you can make it online. It was a bit difficult to find the place tucked away in a narrow street close to centre Georges Pompidou. You have to leave coats, handbags and phones in a locker. Set menues, but we could not choose, it was a... read more

You are going to spend 40-50 euros for a two course meal and a beverage, more if you want a "gourmet" menu. You won't know what you are going to eat. You will leave your watches and cell phones in a locker to make sure you don't bring light into the dining room. Your party will be told to line... More

A brilliant way to learn something about how important sight is to us all and how you find ways around not being able to see what's on your plate. Excellent service and food the blind menu also adds to the entire experience I would recommend everyone try this at least once and I will be back again.

Just got back from a girls trip. We visited here on a Thursday night, and the place was packed. We were so very nervous not being able to pick our food, but ordered the whole course menu. After about 10 minutes your eyes will stop going batty and you can relax. We didn't like everything that we tried, and were... More

Came back here with friends. I was here 7 years ago and hated it. This time I knew what to expect and I still didn't like it. I don't disagree with the other reviews it will be a more personal preference. It's certainly a unique experience where you are served in pitch black darkness by blind people. The concept works... It's a very different but good experience. The food there was also good, although a little bit expensive. Highly recommended!

On my last trip to Paris, I decided to try this place out with a friend. I was very skeptical about eating in a pitch black environment without knowing what I was going to find on my plate...who wouldn't be!? Upon arrival, we were told that the menu could be personalised or adapted to our needs: I don't eat fish... More

The food was good but I can't say if the presentation or restaurant was good because you really can't see a thing. It was a fun and interesting experience. Not sure I'd go again but I'd recommend it to others.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
