Interesting experience

We went there on a Saturday for lunch. Reservation necessary, but you can make it online. It was a bit difficult to find the place tucked away in a narrow street close to centre Georges Pompidou. You have to leave coats, handbags and phones in a locker. Set menues, but we could not choose, it was a... read more

Came back here with friends. I was here 7 years ago and hated it. This time I knew what to expect and I still didn't like it. I don't disagree with the other reviews it will be a more personal preference. It's certainly a unique experience where you are served in pitch black darkness by blind people. The concept works... It's a very different but good experience. The food there was also good, although a little bit expensive. Highly recommended!

Liked: > Really dark, you cant see anything. On my last trip to Paris, I decided to try this place out with a friend. I was very skeptical about eating in a pitch black environment without knowing what I was going to find on my plate...who wouldn't be!? Upon arrival, we were told that the menu could be personalised or adapted to our needs: I don't eat fish... More

The food was good but I can't say if the presentation or restaurant was good because you really can't see a thing. It was a fun and interesting experience. Not sure I'd go again but I'd recommend it to others.

I came three times in this restaurant (for my anniversary with my boyfriend, for my mother's birthday and today for my sister's birthday) and it was a really great pleasure to eat there! People are really nice, they explain very well how we are going to eat (as we are in a complete dark, without any light) and the food... More

We arrived a few minutes late, which was okay since they hadn't started seating yet. All things which give off light or make sounds go into a locker before you enter, including iPhones, wrist watches, etc. The staff were very welcoming and friendly to everyone including my two teens, which is always helpful. We really enjoyed eating in the dark,... More

Very interesting experience, you will probably end up eating with your hands to be able to recognize what you are actually eating :) The food is good, not amazing but good. We had the three courses menu. If you do not like raw meat (tartare...), just say it upfront! You will realize, after a few minutes in the dark, how... More

Something you absolutely must do! What a great experience! I recommend making reservations on their website ahead of time. You get to choose which "Menu" you would like, (i.e - 2 course, 3 course, etc) and if you want any drinks or anything extra with it, but you don't know the food you'll be eating. Obviously, they ask if there... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
