We enjoyed a terrific late lunch here, after a long sightseeing walk from L'Etoile to the Marais. We arrived ready to relax and enjoy good food at a leisurely pace, and we were able to do just that. Service was friendly and efficient. Two of us shared delectable paella (available Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) and a generous plate of tapas,... More

We ate here on a recommendation from some friends and had a great evening. The restaurant has a very family/local community feel to it and is very comfortable and relaxed as a result. We sat outside and it was a very enjoyable evening. We ordered two of the seafood tapas plates and everything was well cooked, with plenty of choices... More

I'd dismiss the reports of bad service. We had a lovely meal of tapas at this busy, local restaurant on the edge of the Marais. Our food was delivered promptly and faster than we would have liked, but absolutely delicious. The mussels and other seafood was great especially the cod croquettes. We'd just been to Madrid so we had some... More

Service was almost non existent. I sat at the bar as I was dining solo, and the bartender consistently would clear my empty glass and walk away without asking if I wanted another. I would then have to struggle to get his attention. It was the only unfriendly experience during my entire stay in Paris.

This is was my second time to go to this restaurant, I guess the first time wasn't punishment enough. It's a very strange eating experience. We were 9-people, the restaurant was practically empty, so where do they seat us, right in front of the noisy kitchen, I suppose to make it easy for the servers, so they don't have to... More

Without a doubt this was the strangest and most unpleasant dining experience that I have ever had. We were openly mocked by the barman and his colleague while we ate. They made jokes about us and whispered/pointed while giggling like teenage boys. The main barman pretended not to speak English and ‘accidentally’ ordered us a €19 dish instead of a... More

My friend and I wandered in off the street for a glass of wine and a snack before dinner. At first the barman just seemed a bit quirky - tried to up sell us to mojitos and acting (?!) disappointed when we went for wine. When asked, he recommended the most expensive wine by the glass and then became more... More

this food in this place is reason enough to consider eating spanish in paris. both visits were with other dedicated foodies, and we over-ordered as we almost always do... shamelessly! there are some very typical tapas menu items that were quite good, like croquetas, chorizo, serano sliced right off the leg and others, plus some real standout items we were... The Caves Saint Gilles is a local cafe and bar straight out of the 1930's or 20's. I was wondering when Picasso or Victor Hugo would walk in. They lived about a block away. The wine is very good especially the White Bordeaux. They cure their own olives and they insist that you stuff wourself with these great morsels while... More
