Please never ever consider dining at this restaurant, particularly if you are Australian. We are very experienced diners both internationally and at home and we booked this restaurant on one recommendation. We booked 2 months in advance for a special occasion. On arrival we were treated very dismissively and seated at the very back of the restaurant far away from... More

Myself and my wife went here on Thursday 18th June 2015 because she desperately wanted to try frogs legs and this restaurant seemed to specialise in them. I read reviews of the staff being rude but thought to give it a shot anyway. We arrived and I informed the waiter/manager we needed a table for two but only my wife... More

We went to the restaurant without booking, when we got there we asked if they had any table , she was very rude , made a snobby face and walked way leaving us just standing there . The restaurant looked empty to me. She didn't even suggest another good place to go , she just couldn't be bothered with us.... More

Tucked away in St Germain, we went twice in 3 days. We tried 3 or 4 different recipes between us, and each was outstanding. VERY generous portions...sauces to die for...don't pass up the escargot, also! To complete your artery clogging experience, any one of the desserts will cap the evening off. Good wine selection, modest beer menu

We were looking for something traditional for our last night in Paris. Stumbled on to this place & wowsers, it was awesome. I had frogs legs 2 days earlier & they were ok. This place was amazing. Loads of garlic. I had the Grande version Provencal style & totally satisfied. I'll be back next time i'm in Paris. 36 Euro... More

We really wanted to have an authentic French meal during our time in Paris. Our hotel suggestd this restaurant as it was nearby. I was surprised by how nice frogs legs and snails could be as i am usually picky with my food. If youre looking for an authentic french menu, give this place a try.

How can you resist not going into a restaurant called Roger the Frog when you are in Paris? Roger le Grenouille is in the rue des Grands Augustins a short walk away from the St Michel metro station. The cuisine is French. This is a charming restaurant which is not easily found being in a side street that would be... More

I dined at Roger la Grenouille during my stay in Paris. The atmosphere is really unique and 'aimed at frogs'. Even though the tables are very close to each others, they all feel separated, so you get a feel of privacy. The food is really nice, I had frog legs in parsley and garlic and they were mouth watering, nonetheless... More

If you want something that is tucked away and might be a brasserie style experience it looks the works. I have been twice and you might wonder why. well in a sense I thought the first time it was Ok ish. but this time you have to say the frogs legs were either swamped in garlic or fried up. Personally... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
