Worth the metro trip!

Loved our dining experience at la Biche au Bois. The owner was charming and attentive. We enjoyed our conversation with him and a french family nearby. The bistro food was delicious, we enjoyed each course.

I had so much fun here, with my family, the waitstaff and our dining neighbors. They want you to have a good time! Don't get carried away and drink too much wine like I did. We had steaks, which were very good, but the highlight was my friend's rabbit pâté. She's a very good friend and she gave me half.... More

We had a nice tradition french meal. We had escargot, Coq au Van, lamb chops and finally our chocolate mousse, which was delicious. The food is good and the place was packed for a Tuesday night. We ate things here, that were not on menus in other establishment. If you like traditional cooking, I would suggest coming here. They also... More

The restaurant isn't located in the most charming area but it seems quite popular with tourists and locals. The service was friendly. We ordered from the prix fixe menu. Hubby had steak and frites. Hubby ordered a terrine appetizer with pate and I've forgotten what mine was. His steak was small but good and the frites were good. I had... More

From the moment you walk in to this amazing restaurant you know you are in for a great experience, the waiters are very capable and friendly , the full menu is explained to you, in English as we required, there is a-la-carte or set menu. We chose the set menu . It was so tasty. I chose the Salmon Rillette, (not... More

Went here for dinner as a solo diner, and had a good, quality meal. I made a reservation ahead of time, which seems fairly necessary based on how many people I saw turned away at the door, and it's very packed both inside and out. The food was good, the waitstaff was nice (and spoke decent English) and the atmosphere... More

I love this restaurant loads and loads. Have been about 5 times, every time has been SUPERB. Set menu for 4 courses, delicious every time, massive portions, such good value for money. Very traditional, always good atmosphere, service always very friendly and efficient. I LOVE IT! Everyone should go there. Only problem is that it's not open on weekends.

My word, this is a poor place. Low quality ingredients, boringly cooked. How this found a place in the Michelin Guide, I just can't understand. It's a rank tourist trap, but also rammed with locals. What are they doing there? The guide is usually so reliable. I ate a la carte as a little celebration of a great day and... More

This restaurant is located away from the madding crowd, near Bastille. It's a 5 minute walk from the Bastille Metro and easy to find. There is a 'Menu du Jour', another 'Prix Fixe Menu' and also 'a la carte' options. All looked good. We chose the Prix Fixe Menu' at 31 euros and were delighted. The recommended Cote du Rhone...
