Popular small restaurant where we were lucky to get a table not having booked. Fixed price menu (4 courses) with plenty of choices for each course. Good quality food, good wine and friendly service, all at a reasonable price for Paris. Recommended if you are in the area.

I have a weakness: whenever I go to a restaurant I try something new, something I can't cook at home. This time it was the andouilette. I knew what it was and I have had it before many years ago, but this time it didn't seem very good to me, although I'm not an expert. So perhaps I chose unwisely... More

Four of us had a delightful meal here, with excellent service and a good wine list. It’s quite a walk from the nearest Metro station, but well worth the effort. Reservations are recommended.

Came to the restaurant after my bf read the reviews. Wasn't in time to make any reservations so we tried our luck by visiting anyway. It was almost full given the size of the restaurant so we were prepared to be turned away. Fortunately the sweet looking lady boss made some special arrangements and sat us down. We were served... Dined with two others on Friday night. Seating is uncomfortably cramped and crowded, even by Parisian standards and the dining room decor and ambience are nothing to write home about. We all ordered the same from the day's specials - ham hock terrine and steaks. The terrine was OK. Rather flavourless and eked out with a large amount of carrot.... More

We followed this all... More

A la Biche au Bois offers the quintessential classic French bistro experience. The restaurant is relatively small, but the layout is an admirable exercise in packing density. Our neighbors were politely friendly, but not intrusive, which is necessary when you are all seated so closely. All members of our party agreed that the food was excellent--veal filet was done particularly... More

This Michelin rated restaurant is a must for anyone interested in spectacular food, ambiance, a friendly and attentive staff, all for a reasonable price. They are only open on week days so call ahead and make a reservation. For 29,90 Euro, they offered a 4 course meal, with your choice of anything on the menu, no limitations. Consider their specials... More

Our visit here didn't start well. I had booked a table over the phone very easily but we rocked up just after 7 when they opened and were almost yelled at for going in - they were NOT OPEN yet! Despite that when they did open the service was great and really good and friendly all evening. I wish I... More
