My word, this is a poor place. Low quality ingredients, boringly cooked. How this found a place in the Michelin Guide, I just can't understand. It's a rank tourist trap, but also rammed with locals. What are they doing there? The guide is usually so reliable. I ate a la carte as a little celebration of a great day and... More

This restaurant is located away from the madding crowd, near Bastille. It's a 5 minute walk from the Bastille Metro and easy to find. There is a 'Menu du Jour', another 'Prix Fixe Menu' and also 'a la carte' options. All looked good. We chose the Prix Fixe Menu' at 31 euros and were delighted. The recommended Cote du Rhone... I chose to order from the reasonably priced 3 course lunch on offer. There was choice available, I enjoyed a house liver pate, chicken cooked in a tasty jus and a chocolate tart. All courses were typical French fare, but with excellent flavours and good sized servings. The fixed price deal is on a sign at the front and you... More

Really lucked out with this one. My friend and I weren't sure what to do for dinner and they took us in (a rarity in Paris's popular restaurants, I found). The service was lovely, the atmosphere fun, the food delicious! The escargot is so good the guy next to me decided to order some instead of dessert after he heard... More

A great restaurant near a mainline station, do they exist? Yes, this is one of the few, near to Gare de Lyon. Absolutely brilliant. Venison pate, steak and home made chips, a big selection of cheese and creme brûlée. Around €30, it does not get any better. Oh and wine, good wine by the half bottle. We will be back... More

C'est bien fais! Excellent atmosphere, good location and one of the best meals I've had. Truly made my visit to France. Owner is a sweet and friendly Canadian who speaks both English and French well and completely understands the concept of excellent service in addition to great food.

This restaurant specialises in traditional French cusine and the owners seem to think that all their guests need feeding up so make sure you arrive hungry. I had a starter portion of spinach quiche which was light as a feather but still enough for a meal in itself and there was steak and chips to follow PLUS an obligatory cheese... More

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and ambience of this restaurant which is quite small and very friendly. The food is good and there is a wide selection of wines. We ate the suggestion du jour which did not disappoint. As we left, people were queueing to get a table. The set menu with three or four courses is approx 30€. I... More

I knew the restaurant from our time in Paris 15 years ago and was disappointed. A noisy litte restaurant with friendly waiters and lot's of tourists. Food was OK but nothing special. Jambon Persile gristly, fatty fries, chewy lamb, basic mouse au chocolat. Big portions! The place needs a refresh!
