Excellent degustation menu

We were staying in Paris and were recommended to go to this restaurant by friends. We tried to book for a few days ahead but we're told they are booked out for weeks, so we booked for two and a half weeks ahead after we returned from Provence, and the south of France. Well worth the trouble of phoning in a booking at a certain time of the day and being generally treated rudely over the phone (although their face to face hospitality is great!). The cooking was innovative whilst hinged onto French tradition. Certainly worth a try for those who enjoy novelty without theatrics.

We were seated by the only window table which was excellent, and a energetic happy girl sat with us and explained it was a set dining and we chose to be surprised- every single morsel we ate was exceptional. All 11 courses (some were just mouthfuls of original, creative and stimulating food) were amazing. They served a risotto with no... More

Came with high expectations (what else when being on 50 best). When arriving we were given the wine list which felt strange since we didn't know the today's menu. We ordered the set menu with matching wines. Got five amuse bouches which bored our taste buds (I bet the cheese puffs are from Picard with sesam seeds sprinkled over them).... More

I read in this article that the restaurant was ranked 21 in the 50 best restaurants awards. http://edition.cnn.com/2015/06/01/travel/worlds-50-best-restaurant-awards-2015/index.html I was happy to go home and have a real French food and French flavours. The only thing 'French' I found (I am a French citizen) in this restaurant was the arrogance of the staff. The food was "fancy" without soul. The... More

My husband and I (both early 40s, travel internationally extensively and prioritize fine dining experiences over anything else) dined at Le Chateaubriand in early July during the record-breaking heat wave in Paris. We had done our research in advance and we extremely curious about this bistronomie venue given its accolades. Despite it being miserably hot in the restaurant, which was... More

Came here late on 14th july, and had an amazing time having the mandatory tasting menu. The staff evidently had so much fun serving up the amazing food and wine. If like us your french was once better than it is now, recommend getting them to speak French, but only to translate if you don't understand.

I had such high hopes for this place. All the rave reviews, great little space, interesting chef.... However, something was just "off". The food was very creative and interesting, and the space was nice, but it really fell flat for us. Certainly not as enjoyable as L'Amis Jean, Verjus, Frenchie, Gare au Gorille or other local favorites. In fact, I... More

Terrible from the beginning not a top 50 restaurant in the world . The food was inedible and me and my husband are foodies and live in nYC so we've been to top chef restaurants. Other than the bread and cheese plate, the fish , chicken and dessert seemed undercooked and barely chewed I was afraid w would get sick... More

The restaurant only serve a single tasting menu - 12 courses of absolutely delicious food which worth its place as #21 in the 2015 world's best restaurant list. All of it for 70 euro per person!
