Great staff and liquor, overpriced food

A couple of the dishes was really good but in relation to the cost, we would have expected more. The liquor recommended to each dish was very good though, and the staff was nice in a relaxed but professional way. Nice but not an amazing place.

There are so many things to love about this restaurant. One menu - no thinking. It is fancy without being pretentious. The food is interesting and still relatable. They take chances with dishes like whole fried shrimp and sea urchin but they make everything absolutely delicious. The wine pairing is not to be missed. Like the food, it is different... More

Do not believe the naysayers. (They have no clue what they are talking about.) The cooking here is stellar. Having eaten at some of Paris' trendiest and most desirable tables I can say this is truly one of Paris' best. I lucked upon a bar seat tonight taking a chance to pop by without a reservation, and boy was I... More

This is a great place if you can get in. The staff was particularly friendly and very helpful to Americans, though it appeared that the crowd was mostly local. The prix fixed meal is the only choice and was plentiful. Not being a wine snob, or knowing much about French wine, I chose the pairing and found their choice excellent... More

I'll probably attract abuse for this review. But, in the past month, I've eaten at much more expensive restaurants that were much more rubbish. Yes, Pascal Barbot, I'm looking at you in particular. I really wanted to hate Le Chateaubriand, given all the accolades Inaki has been getting from the 'critics'. Who died and made these critics the king of... More

The ration price/quality is a joke. A few pleasant surprises with liquors and wine but the overall experience is pretty disappointing. Clearly overrated!

Queued to get a place for 2 hours but every second of it was worth it. Absolutely perfectly wonderfully everything you ever expect from a world famous restaurant like this: wines, food and service equally blows your mind away.

If you came to see the reviews because you saw some website recommending this restaurant as one of the best in the world, please disregard that website. I dined at this restaurant in reliance on that website but I felt like I was at a culinary school cafeteria. +2 stars for food. -1 star for value. +1 star for friendly... More

This restaurant has a great reputation for good reason. Whilst having a few beers with a friend we decided to call and see if they had any free tables. Thankfully it was a yes, we finished our IPA's quickly, rented some velo's and cycled across town. Its worth any distance. We opted for the food and wine pairing. We lost... More

We tend to go to a lot of fine dinning restaurants and decided to go to La Chateaubriand after meeting the chef in Tour, France. The place absolutely surprises you with outstandingly food served on very nice looking plates that smell the best! My fav dish was the lamb and the egg dessert. It's a pity that you need to... More
