Interesting experience...but would not go back/recommend to others unless you're curious

Not my style - very modern french & interesting experience but not worth the money in my mind. Much preferred Frenchie Bar a Vins for value & style of food & ambiance. Lovely atmosphere but food portions are quite small so we weren't that full after...something to keep in mind. Also noticed that... read more

Yes, there is this seemingly never ending fine cuisine small plates arriving on your table for 70 euros. Yes, it's always delicious, surprising, cooked to perfection. But how many of these great small dishes will I remember in 3 months? Maybe this extraordinary cherries and fresh almonds desert. Yes, the staff is young, welcoming, very friendly. But for such a... Le Chateaubriand restaurant in Paris is a perfect example how a great place can loose its reputation in just one evening. How it's so important to always keep up the level. We first went to Chateaubriand in April 2015 and were totally amazed by the quality of food, ideas behind the dishes, almost everything was delicious and interesting. Also wine... More

We had read this place was the 27 best restaurant in the world and since we were coming to Paris we thought let's give it a try! The restaurant is an experimental, prix-fixe modern bistro. They serve a single prix-fixe meal each evening, and you can order wine, cocktails and beer too. When making the booking we were worried about... More

We discovered the restaurant over three years ago. It was then perhaps one of the best value for money Michelin standard menus one could find in Paris with a rustic and friendly atmosphere. The concept here is simple, good quality ingredients prepared, cooked and served to a very high standard ( given the Michelin star, this is of course expected).... More

Bursting with expectations for this brasserie we found it just as good as predicted. From the service of getting other choices as not eating meat to truly competent directions from the staff in what we had on plate to professionally described wines from wine package made for tasting menu. Expensive but worth it. So book it, and enjoy!

went with high hopes, but after the welcome everything else went down the hills. This place was highly recommended by a friend but the food that we had was not that great. unluckily for us who's travelling half globe to try food. overall we had much better food at many other places, unluckily not worth the cost.

I'm surprised to see the poor reviews for Le Chateaubrian. We had the tasting menu, included items ranged from good to amazing. And everything was unexpected. They started with an amuse bouches and then gougeres (cheese puffs). The food just kept coming and it was an incredible meal. The desserts (there were two) were hard to describe but like nothing... Where do I even begin? I've been to some bad places before, but this just takes the cake. Gougeres (little cheese puffs) that I recommend they buy from Picard in the future, then a really nice gazpacho type thing, followed by a salicorne risotto. At this point I should have left the restaurant. This dish showed a complete complacency on... More

What a let down. I worked very hard to reserve this restaurant based on reviews and the national press proclaiming this place as cutting edge and creative. Maybe the staff have been reading their press and forgetting about the food and service. The evening did not start well - there was confusion about our table and they had us move... More
