Go for the full tasting menu, including wine package and the cheese - you will not regret! The food was fantastic, both in taste and presentation. The waiters were busy, but they were never far away when you needed their attention. Each course, and single glass of wine, was thoroughly explained and elaborated on. The sommelier sat down together with... More

We liked the atmosphere. It was vibrant and unpretentious. The food was good - first time I had 'brain' and I liked it. The chef lives right by the genre of modern bistro. The food was light and his play of the ingredients were interesting. Every dish kept us guessing what was inside. A definite try for those wanting bistro... More

Not really sure what the fuss was about with this restaurant. The food is good, but not great. The wine choices are good, but not great. The service is definitely not there and there are far too many people in the restaurant to be comfortable. Wouldn't go again. It's an average restaurant.

We were on the wait list for two nights and on the third night stopped by at 7:20 and there happen to be a last minute calculation. What makes this a great dining experience is not only the food, but the atmosphere and the people. Dinning in Paris we generally found most of the restaurant staff to be fairly rude... More

One of the top 50 restaurants in the world? Ranked 27. I have dined at Alinea in Chicago and it was the best food, presentation and ambiance I have ever experienced. That restaurant is ranked 9. Europea and Toque in Montreal far exceed the food at Chateaubriand. If you enjoy smelly mackerel semi-cooked mixed with a few bits of onion... More

Possibly it's unfair to judge a restaurant on the experience of one visit. Yet: while everything was extraordinary, certainly not middle of the road, but we found none of the various courses excitingly good; the meat was definitely a very odd combination, also the lobster. A device to keep the wine (delicious!) at the right temperature had to be asked... More

The place is simple and cozy, and the food is a whole new experience. Our dinner there will be forever on my mind, since the very first plate to the dessert it was flawless. It is "expensive" if you compare with a regular restaurante but when it comes to experience I would have paid the double. Compliments to the Chef!... More

We had high hopes for le chateaubriand since it's the 2nd best restaurant in Paris according to San pellegrino top 50 restaurants in the world. The dishes were definitely creative, a few dishes were good but the main beef was so disappointing, the combination didn't go and the beef cut was very tough and chewy. Even the table next to... My wife and I had one if the best dinning experiences all-world and all-time at the Le Chateaubriand. They were very helpful for us to get on the 2nd seating list at 21:00. Bookings for 1st seating is recommended but we did not mind the wait, and to be sure it was well worth every minute. Once you're on the... More

At the ripe old age of 40, Inaki Aizpitarte was already the god-father of Paris' "néo bistro" movement. I have eaten here at least 10 times and was never disappointed (although one can always point to something and say it was better before). He created the "set menu" trend that so many younger chefs excel at now. Every night is... More
