Quick Family dinner

The food was reasonably priced and we could get food also for children who are sometimes picky. We picked the place due to other TripAdvisor reviews.

I had better recently, much better, from a Thai food truck. A family friendly restaurant, reasonably quick service, but the food could be better. I asked for my dish to be spicy, it wasn't, but was acceptable. Nothing exciting but the kids liked it.

We, couple with daughter, arrived at Bien Bien which is located Close to Blvd Haussmann, on a Friday night at 7.30pm when it was completely empty. By 7.45pm all 8-10 tables were occupied. For very good reasons: fantastic Tom Kha Gai, excellent Red Thai Curry and perfect Thai Chili Chicken. We really enjoyed the time at Bien Bien and will... More

What we ate between two was really excellent and I think authentic although I've never been to Thailand. We had red curry duck and a beef salad. The beef salad was great but the red curry duck was superb and definitely the best I've had. Service was pleasant if a little slow. Lively atmosphere but a bit cramped. Reasonably priced.

Like 777_Carla, Bien Bien was full so we proceeded next door. What a find. The host greeted us and even though it too was full but managed to make a table for two. The food, why Australian Thai restaurants can not make the food taste as good or have to "tone it down" for westerners, beats me. The level of... More

Bien Bien was fully booked so we were directed to go next door to Bien Bien "next door" which shares the same kitchen. The restaurant is simple, no fancy works here. We ordered the traditional grilled beef salad which was, by all means, one of the best I ever tried. All that followed : soup, curry, sticky rice and fried... More

A little out of the way and small, but you will be rewarded with exciting your taste buds. Place is run by a family and another Thai restaurant 2 doors down is run by the same family. Enjoy. It is small, so make reservations to make sure you get a table.

This one of the best Thai restaurants that I have been to. The staff is friendly. It is highly recommended to reserve a table if you want to go at lunchtime as it is always full.

The Bien Bien restaurant was a welcome find after several dodgy pizzas and an alright Indian feed after several nights in Paris. Well priced and great flavour, all the things you expect in Thai food but the courteous efficient staff made the whole experience a pleasure instead of a chore. Well done, just a pity we didn't find this place... More

After chatting with our rental host, he recommended Bien Bien. He told us "it's my favourite local place for Thai. it's not fancy but it's delicious. The family is very nice. If Henry is there, tell him I say 'hi'." Our host was right! Bien Bien was great! Some of the best Thai dishes I've ever eaten and enjoyed. We... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
