But of course, pair fondue with wine in a baby bottle

A fun, frantic place just down the hill from Sacre-Coeur in Montmartre. Two long tables so be prepared to step over the table to find your spot. Two choices - meat or bread. And yes, wine in baby bottles. A very busy place so either plan to wait or get there early.

My mom went here in the 80s and so I decided to go for dinner when I was in Paris for a weekend with friends. It was so fun and perfect for a large group - nobody minded us talking and laughing a bit loudly. They have a set menu which includes appetizers, cheese or meat fondue, dessert, and wine... More

Very quirky little hole in the wall type place! Brought all my visitors here for a fun experience & its a great value! Its is very crowded & doesn't seat many so I recommend getting here as close to opening as possible. If you are alone the owner will not let you eat here since the fondue pots serve 2-4.... More

If you want an odd experience eating fondue & drinking wine out of baby bottles, this is your place! Arrived to chaos but instantly made to feel better with a complimentary rose with slice of lemon & sugar-crusted wine glass! The meat fondue was delicious - very good beef & some interesting sauces to go with it. The cheese fondue... More

We came here for the novelty of the fact that this restaurant serves its wine in baby bottles, and that it's so tightly packed that whoever sits on the inside of your table has to crawl over the table. (Note: not good for elderly or disabled travelers!) - the fondue was good but not the best I've had. A good... More

At the Refuge you will be greeted and treated as if the staff were making you a favour; it's packed with tourists so I reckon this is a one-time experience and people never go back. If you make a reservation, don't expect it to be ready on time; ours (for 7 people) was probably forgotten and we were lucky a... More

We were in Paris for two weeks and this was by far the worst meal we ate. Apart from the grumpy staff and awful, poor quality food, the waiter threw our half eaten bread basket back into the basket they were serving to other customers - we had half eaten bits in there too, disgusting. The wine tasted cheap as... More

17 Rue Tres Freres - Refuge du Fondues that is where! Two simple answers to two simple questions - "cheese or meat?" and "red or white? and the party commences. The first course is a bite sized meat and cheese serving with an apperitif; main course is cheese with crusty bread and/or meat and potatoes cooked in oil and served... More

Nice small restaurant with stantard menu. Fondue (cheese or meat), drink (in special glass) and something sweet for dessert. We ate the meat fondue and it was something that i never tasted before but i am suggesting it!!! Not ideal for children.

We went to this restaurant based on a strong recommendation of a friend. This friend also advised us to make a reservation in advance because there is always a queue of people waiting to get in and the resto is very small. Our first impression was not very good because despite our phone reservation, nobody from the restaurant cared about... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
