Wine in baby bottles!

Come for the atmosphere and crazy cheap wine. Very tiny restaurant, we had to literally climb over the tables to get to our seats. But the coziness made for an interesting meal. Conversation between tables flowed and we felt like we were eating with a bunch of new friends. The fondue was okay... read more

I loved this "restaurant"! The cheese fondue was good, the red and white wine in biberons (baby bottle) were funny to drink, and the owner is a jovial person.

Hasn't changed in 25 years - and that's a good thing! You don't visit Le Refuge to have top quality fondu: you go for the experience. Firstly, let's talk size and space: the restaurant is smaller than some living rooms, and the seating comprises two long tables with school-like benches. If you're sitting on the wall side of the table,... More

I've been here many times with my friends and it's always perfect! Food is awesome and the staff is really nice. The price is not high at all considering how much you will eat. Très sympa!

Was advised to try this restaurant by a friend. Having had a quick read up on Trip Advisor we had an idea what to expect, but the whole experience was fun and one I'm glad we tried. The restaurant is very small, so seating is very cosy with people sat side by side in rows, with one of the pairing... More

We got this place as a recommendation from a friend of friend who lived in Paris for a year. Sadly, we were let down. One caveat, it is a fun place to go, but our experience was not as fun as we had hoped. The food is average fondue, and the wine is average but I knew that going in,... More

A group of 4 of us went, with 2 of us going for the first time. I'm afraid that I couldn't bring myself to drink wine out of a baby bottle, although the other 3 did! The wine was terrible (considering that you can get quite nice wine in Paris)...the beer (in a glass) was a much better choice! Saying... More

A fun, frantic place just down the hill from Sacre-Coeur in Montmartre. Two long tables so be prepared to step over the table to find your spot. Two choices - meat or bread. And yes, wine in baby bottles. A very busy place so either plan to wait or get there early.

My mom went here in the 80s and so I decided to go for dinner when I was in Paris for a weekend with friends. It was so fun and perfect for a large group - nobody minded us talking and laughing a bit loudly. They have a set menu which includes appetizers, cheese or meat fondue, dessert, and wine... More

Very quirky little hole in the wall type place! Brought all my visitors here for a fun experience & its a great value! Its is very crowded & doesn't seat many so I recommend getting here as close to opening as possible. If you are alone the owner will not let you eat here since the fondue pots serve 2-4.... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
