We visited this great little cafe/restaurant in Montmartre with my husband and (adult) daughter. You must book as there are only 2 sittings nightly and it is VERY popular. It's a long, narrow restaurant, with trestle tables and benches and an aisle down the middle for the waiters. Once you're seated, it's very hard to get out! Service is very... More

This place is weird. Literally weird, walls are entirely covered by people signs, wine is served in baby-bottles, people use to have photos together with the host and cheering. Fondue and bourguignon are good. I'll be back there as soon as I'll be in Paris again.

Went here on a tip from the Segway tours people and wasn't disappointed. Had to order the minimum 2 portions even though I was there by myself, so it was a LOT of fondue! The maitre'd is definitely a character and gave me ample opportunity to practice my conversational French and discuss our mutual love of fondue. Would definitely go... More

If you are looking for something fun to do for dinner then this place is for you. It is off the beaten path and is a little hole in the wall you'd easily miss walking by. The menu is very limited (this is part of the charm!) and you don't have to make very many choices for your meals. Also,... More

A lovely restaurant, if you could call it that. It's not really a restaurant, per se, as you won't get a menu. The restaurant presents you with two options for the food and two options for the wine (or other drinks). The food choice is either cheese fondue or meat fondue, and the wine choice is either red or white.... More

Place is kind of small, so I had to climb over the table to be seated and it was actually kind of fun. Even more when wine was served in baby bottles. The decoration is quite unique, they have bills from different countries glued to the wall. The food was great! Definitely worth going and having fondue again!

The older man (owner?) who seated us did little more than grunt and snarl at us the whole evening, or bark out some frustrations in French as he walked away from our table. Two co-workers and I went here on the recommendation of a long-time fan. We were seated at an empty bench but the table was shoved up so... More

I've been three times now with different people and have absolutely loved it every time. It's just a unique and fun experience, from climbing over the tables at the start, to drinking your first baby bottle of wine to delving into the cheesey goodness. Loved it here and I'll definitely be back! Vicky http://vickyflipfloptravels.com/les-refuge-des-fondus/

My husband and I were headed to Paris and two friends had independently recommended this place. We ordered the red wine and the cheese fondue. We made friends with the lovely couple next to us and ended up having several baby bottles of wine each, closed the place down, and had such a fun time. Not the best food ever,... More

This place was recommended by our apartment rental host since we were only a 10 minute walk to it. Service was pretty poor, but I tend to expect that in Paris. The atmosphere was very fun and lively. See other reviews regarding the baby bottles. Keep in mind the place is TINY, so you may have to wait if going... More
