Beef & frittes.

No menu to choose from, everyone is served the same meal: small salad, several slices of beef with a French sauce & French Fries. Very good if you don't mind meat but be prepared to wait in line.

We were 4 people on a rainy night. We arrived around 9 pm and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, which was OK. The problem was that we did not know the concept of this restaurant and one of us was a vegetarian. The waitress told us that he can have the salad and chips only but... More

Location and Ambience: In the XVIIe, beneath the Palais des Congrès. The restaurant is very busy with virtually no intimacy. There are no reservations taken, be prepared to queue for 15-45 min.*** Service: The waitresses were friendly and attentive. Based on the concept of the restaurant, everything has to stay in flow...***1/2 Food: Steak and frites were gd, the sauce... More

Everyone I knew that had been here raved about it and insisted that I go. It was fine but nothing special. Pace, unlike most places in France, is very hurried. I felt like they were trying to usher us out before we sat down. Steak was fine but just ok. Everyone eats the exact same meal - steak in gravy... More

Unless you don't eat me. Do go. You'll have to answer one question : How would you like your meat ? That's all. Choose your drink : I recomend the house Cuvée a bit chilled Then choose your desert. They are all good but the Winter Vacherin is THE MUST.

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend and was advised to not be put off by the queu as was worth the wait-well it did not disappoint The queu was long but moved quickly and we were unsure why as nobody was leaving the restaurant On entering we soon found out! You are sitting closely In between strangers at... More

Not a restaurant we would like to go to again in Paris. We came about half past eight and had about 25 persons ahead in the queue. It took an hour for us to get a table. The restaurant was noisy (in a bad way; like a crowded and slammering staff diningroom....). The waitress was stressed and short in tone.... More

When you walk in and are taken to your seat, the server asks what you would like to drink and to what temperature you would like your steak prepared. The table red wine was good and the steak is delicious! The sauce the put on the steak is a house secret and makes the steak. The second portion of your... More

Don't let the long line discourage you, this place is well worth the wait. This restaurant certainly lives up to its reputation for serving the best steak frites served with their unique sauce that enhances the natural flavor of the steak. Our server quickly brought out our drinks, salads, main courses and outstanding desserts. The atmosphere is extremely lively and... More

This is the original restaurant that the French refer to as "entrecôte", which denotes a premium cut of beef used for steaks, in this case sirloin steak. The original concept of serving salad, entrecôte with a secret green butter herb start originated in Geneva at a restaurant called Café de Paris in the 1940's. Paul Gineste de Saurs adapted the...
