Great food and good portions. Central location. Friendly staff. Inexpensive. Not possible to book a table but part of the charm is to wait for it.

Found this by accident as it was the only restaurant in the area with a queue, it was really worth the wait, which wasn't very long anyway. Steak and chips is the only thing they serve and they do it very well. There is a limited wine list and the house red is very drinkable. The price is competitive for... More

Came in for lunch with our 6 year old daughter. The waitress looked and us with a crooked eye, and sent us to sit upstairs as if it were some kind of punishment. Anyway - the one dish restaurant was good. You choose just how you would like your steak. Medium-rare was great. It comes in two servings so it... More

Excellent steak frites in a delicious sauce, fun deserts. Crowded, noisy with efficient, quirky service. The line on the weekend is unbelievable, so getting there before opening is the best and waiting a bit... Eclectic crowd from well dressed locals to families of tourists, all coming to the shrine of steaks. Great fun

Get there early....this delightful restaurant is always packed for both lunch and dinner. It has a set lunch menu comprising beef in curry sauce with frites, which was really excellent. The salad with mustard dressing and walnuts was also very good. Service was good. The surroundings were pleasant, and the prices were reasonable.

For more than forty years now, every time that I fly to Paris, not going to l'Entrecote it's like missing some thing important. Just to say that this Restaurant became my first favourite, the one not to be ignored by all means. It's special steak with it's special green sauce (served twice, excuse me...!!!) and with those French fries... Just... More

Had a lovely salad, steak and dessert in this Paris institution. Got seated with my daughter after just 5 minutes in queue, jumping larger parties. Service was excellent despite very busy night. Really enjoyed the whole experience.

When you have to wait in line to get into a restaurant and everyone in line is speaking French, you know something must be good about the place. One a friends recommendation we found Le Relais de Venice. Seating is very tight but part of the charm. You have no choice in what is served, except how your steak is... More

I used to frequent this restaurant when I often flew to Paris in the 90's as a flight attendant. I returned recently after a two-decade absence - and was thrilled to see it is still serving some of the best food I've ever eaten. We arrived early (before 7PM on a week-night) and there was already a bit of a... More
