Great location, nice drinks, good food, slooooow service!

The location of this cafe could not be better, over looking a lovely square in the heart of the Latin Quarter. We came here for drinks and for coffee, and on both occasions loved sitting in the sunshine people watching. The drinks (and the coffee) were good. My friend enjoyed some snacks, which... read more

Do yourself a favour and drop into Cafe Delmas, Paris on a Friday night. The late afternoon happy hours ensures that there is a great vibe and the food and the cocktails flow generously. We had an amazing meal of Snails and Steak Tartar!

The place is a very expensive parisian bistro . But the service was truly terrible. One of the waiter pushed me aside while passing by with drinks. He didn't even excuse himself and when I told him about it he gave me a long stare like he was going to punch me. The worst service i ever had in Paris.... More

Well situated , seat at the terrace and enjoy a glass of wine and a slice of foie gras and enjoy Paris.Food is decent, little overpriced but you pay for the location. Staff is very courteous which can be rare in Paris. I'll definitely come back.

Was there with my friends to have lunch and we were totally disappointed... We ordered burgers that where for ants, very very small with a small portion of fries and the only big thing was the bill... Each hamburger was 15 euros... Never going back to that place...

Paying 39€ for 2 poor breakfasts, an orange juice and a crepe is too much even if you have them in Paris! And breakfast needs to be definitely improved! When we left and we walked towards the market of Rue moufftarde we saw so many better places!

We stopped here for coffee early. 14 euros for 2 cappuccinos. A single espresso is nearly 3/euros. Service is inattentive, although it was busy. Choose another spot to enjoy a terrace.

We were strolling in the 5th and stumbled into Cafe Delmas. The place was packed, and such a nice looking place to eat outside enjoying a beautiful Sunday morning. We both had their price fixe brunch. The food was very good, especially the "French toast" . The portions were large by French standards. Yes it was a bit overpriced, but... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
