Nice Brunch, terrible slow service!

Nice location and terrasse and food is very good! Unfortunately typically french service: slow and unfriendly. We saw 5 couples leaving without being served (and nobody cared about it). So: go here only if you have a lot time and patience! Brunch itself was really good and coffee as well (21 Euro... read more

We each ordered the 3 egg omelet with ham and cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice, and café au lait. All came with a basket of bread and a carafe of water. Accompanying the omelet was a spinach and arugula salad topped with a light vinaigrette. Everything was delicious and the omelet outstanding! The service was courteous and prompt. The final... More

The location of this restaurant is great, and we thought it would be a nice place to have a morning coffee and croissant. And while the coffee was very good, two coffees and two croissants cost 16 Euros. Go across the street to the bakery, and get a coffee and pastry for less than half the price. This restaurant is... We chose this cafe to sit down to have lunch and a drink on a sunny day. Perfect location we thought...but we didn't consider the waiter. Incredible how one employee with his bad mood can make a shop losing paying clients. We left before we ordered... due to a lack of customer orientation and friendliness... this cafe is clearly on... It's the sort of place where I'd rather have a coffee or a drink or a desert, Good location. Sometimes, from your seat, you can enjoy watching some street show or listening to a live band performing juat in front of the place

All is in the title! Avoid, flee, run away! It looks attractive but this is a trap for tourists! The burgers are 2 ridiculously small pieces and horribly expensive.

Went there with friends last Sunday. We booked a table and asked for a nice spot where we would be comfortable with a 10 months kid. The bar is place on a nice square of the 5th arrondissement, directly on the famous rue Mouffetard. We had a very warm welcome, the high chair for the kid was ready, the table... More

I had lunch last week at Cafe Delmas last week with friends and it is a cozy place to spend a couple of hours chatting. I had the escargots, which dripping in butter and garlic were divine. My main course, however, was just very average. I had scallops which surrounded a serving of leaks and mushrooms. The scallops were well... More

I visited the bar with my friend in december. We discovered the bar rather by accident but what a pleasant surprise. It was a rainy afternoon and we looked for some shelter. The bar has a very nice interior especially the part where we sat (red pluche sofas, the different kind of wallpapers, a bit dark and the desklamps on... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
