Lovely Latin Quarter square with great atmosphere and service. Expensive so go in Happy Hour if you want to drink alcohol!

The terrace on the place is great, especially during the summer. However the beers are overpriced (8€) as well as the other drinks.

Located at a very nice, livable square in the center of Moufftar street, this coffee restaurant has an indoor and outdoor places, very good food and very good service. The prices are a little bit higher than most of the restaurants at the area due to its special location. I recommend it for dinner and probably lunch

The café is a great place to sit and watch the action in square but that was the only appealing thing about it. It took us a while to get served, I know the French are a bit more relaxed than us Brits, and we had great difficulty trying to get what we wanted. My French is not great and... More

This is a fun cafe to have a drink or meal. It is on a small square on rue Descartes in an area filled with restaurants and cafe's. It is a bit pricey for drinks, but come at happy hour and you get 1/2 off some drinks. Foods is very good. The fun part is watching the action around the... More

Really disappointed from this bar. Overpriced, more than 6€ for a tea! The server never smiled, he was arrogant, so was the manager. They treat customers like they will never come back again (and I'wont). They just don't care about the customer. To Avoid !!

Place Contrescarpe is one of the most beautiful venues in Paris. This Cafe is not the best value for your money but at least all the products are fresh. I would recommend the chèvre salad

Place Contrescarpe is one of my favourites in Paris. This is perhaps the most popular cafe in that place (maybe because it used to be a place that Hemingway visited...). But personally I would prefer the other cafeterias around... Tip: Take advantage of the happy hours to get cheap beers (6 E/pint) and drinks. Otherwise, it might look a little... More

We only had drinks here. One day coffee and another day a cocktail. Not cheap, but the terrace on the Place de la Contrescarpe is very nice to spend some time (or take shelter from the rain).

I only want to write a bad review when I really want to warn people. So be warned. My girlfriend wanted a petite dejeuner and I just was a bit thirsty so liked myself some tea. The petite dejeuner was very small, one coffee, one croissant without confiture and a (maybe freshly squezed, maybe just Coolbest) jus d'orange. My tea... More
