It was our wedding anniversary and I had researched the restaurant we wanted to visit whilst on our trip to Paris. We decided on Menelik buit we left without eating. We were a little early and the first customers there. In the bar area there were three men as well as the owner/manager. At first he ignored us, then gave... More

First time in front of Ethiopian food and a pleasing experience it was too; friendly staff, complimentary drink on arrival, and coffee at the end; food was delicious, and very different. Cost very reasonable

Am at the restaurant right now... We have had Ethiopian at other restaurants in SF bay area in the US. Had a vegetarian combo.. And the varieties are not much. Portion size is too little for the price too. All the meat eaters got huge platters ! Taste is pretty average :-/ We miss Zeni ethiopian restaurant in San Jose... More

The ambiance is very authentic, I love to eat with the hands, it give a family like dimension and a cosy atmosphere. It is not “high gastronomy” and the food can get a bit boring and heavy but it is unexpansive and I enjoyed the meal. Worth trying.

This is one of the best rated restaurant in this neighborhood so we choose to go to this place for dinner with a group of friend. Food was good, Injera was tasty and mouthful. The food is somehow adjusted to French taste otherwise it could have been little more spicy as you might taste in Addis Ababa. We truly enjoyed... More

I love injera and I make a point of having it everywhere it might be available. This was a very good one! Tiny restaurant, friendly staff, a menu that includes mixed grill. You can have the vegetarian option made spicier for you if you like, which isn't always easy in France. Will definitely go back.

After a terrible dining experience at another Paris Ethiopian restaurant last night, I feel compelled to write about the merits of Menelik, my friendly neighborhood Ethiopian restaurant. From the very first day we ate here more than two years ago, we received a warm welcome, helped along by the free kir that they offer all diners! We always order the... More

Will never go back! Food is nothing special; can do the same cuisine at home; will just have to add some garlic and onion and voila!
