Good selection - good service - We'll return!

We have eaten at Vin & Maree a few times - first this trip, though. It is as predictably good as always. My favorite is the sauerkraut and fish selection (choucroute de la mer) which I really enjoy because of the combination of tastes. My wife had the scallops. We were both very satisfied. We have spent 10 days in France and were told that July was not the month for oysters; there is no 'r' in the month we were told. This myth was burst on arriving at the Vin et Maree on the Rue S Honore which displays dozens of oysters, lobsters and prawns under refrigeration outside. Noticing my doubts about how... More

We were looking for good fresh fish and were sadly disappointed. The complimentary mussels brought to the table were tough, overcooked and in a tasteless broth. We ordered a selection of oysters; they were poor and appeared to be less than fresh. We had scallops which were done simply in butter and not bad, but not a good value for... More

My husband I love eating oysters in Paris so seeing the oysters displayed outside the restaurant drew us in! We were not disappointed! Prior to our appetizer, they served us a small bowl of mussels gratis. The oysters followed and they were delicious. For entrees I had the sole. It was dusted w flour and pan fried. Yum. Yum. It... IThis place is nothing fancy but the seafood and fish they serve are good and the staff is friendly. We really enjoyed our lunch there.

We came here for a business dinner with a large group. Good choice of menu, excellent sea food, great service, reasonable price.

We checked this small restaurant via TripAdvisor but passed it by on a previous day as from the outside it was not quite what we wanted for lunch. But with a hankering for a fish dinner after some heavier Parisienne meals we took the TA reviews to heart and gave it a try - and are very pleased that we... More

We ended up here without a reservation. The host was friendly and seated us promptly. The evening began with a complementary appetizer of steamed mussels with a fabulous broth. The cold lobster appetizer was great as was the prawn ravioli entree. The bouillabaisse was flavorful and loaded with seafood. The dessert was a winner too...Apple crumble with homemade ice cream.

It is not often that a lady as smart as she is gorgeous invites me for a little lunch in Paris. She knows I love seafood and told me she would take me to the very best sushi in Paris. I had just tasted some in Osaka and Sapporo, so I was curious. When I met her at the Louvre,... More
