Arrived at this restaurant at 9.00 pm on a Sunday evening. Very limited choice available, chose the fixed menu and felt we were treated with contempt as a result. Obviously had English menus available, but didn't bring them to us. The swordfish was ok, but accompanying mash was very runny. The... read more

This was a great restaurant. Service was good, interior was good, food was good, wine selection was good. All in all, very good. I really liked the layout and the friendliness of the waiter. The food was well prepared and great tasting. I had flounder, and it was perfectly done. Catch of the day even!

Excellent selection of oysters. Fresh and delicious The food was also tasty and freshly prepared. Main course was very good. Prices are reasonable for food and wine. Good wine selection. Service was good The place is comfortable and clean but the setup is quite dull

We ate here after a long day of site seeing in Paris. We stopped after a great day of site seeing and we were looking for a great spot to have fish and watch people go by. This was perfect. We had a great table looking out on the street. The owner took care of us himself, he brought complementary... More

This review is for the vin et maree an avenue le maine in the 14th. It is a Parisian chain specializing in fish (not so sure about the wine part). I have had mixed results with respect to dinner. Sometimes, one can get marvellous fish in a lovely setting (the front room or the small cordoned off sidewalk seating) and... More

I have been here a few times. On the whole, food was good. Last time I had a seefood platter that was quite enjoyable (really good oysters and shrimps, boulots where so-so) and a honest pitcher of muscadet, a cup of coffee (bad, but alas, this is France!), for 55 euros. On arriving at 10 pm I was told I... More

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
