Perfect layover

On a short schedule between trains we were looking for a relaxing meal close to Gare du Nord. Reading earlier reviews we picked Terminus and are glad we did. While the food wasn't "excellent" it was quite good. The thing that we were most impressed with and surprised was the amazing service and... read more

My husband and I have visited Paris several times in the past years. Every time we were in Paris, we would like to cross the city and went back to this restaurant to have our dinner at least once. We like the food and setting here. The price is reasonable. The seafood plate always has the same price. We were... More

I loved the oysters. The service was friendly. One of the house specialties, the bouillabaise, was tasteless. I'd expext more from a restaurant specialising in seafood. I know, it's Paris, and this restaurant is conveniently located in front of Gare du Nord, but in the end, considering the food quality, I find this place expensive.

My husband and I always, always get a late afternoon train home to London from Paris, just so we can mark the end of our visit with a last, leisurely luncheon at Terminus Nord. This is everything a Parisian Brasserie should be. The dining room is huge and bustling and absolutely gorgeous and sexy. Tables are covered in thick white... More

The genuine article. A proper bustling brasserie that's part of your rail journey. A couple of hours before your connection? Perfect. They'll escort you to your table, park your luggage within sight, then smooth away the hassle of travel with classic French cuisine, good service and outstanding people watching. My soup, escargot and bouilibaise with two half bottles of wine (a wide choice and... More

Have enjoyed dinner here previously but visited this time for Sunday lunch prior to returning homer via Eurostar. Opposite Gare du Nord so an ideal location for us. Arrived at 13:30 and the restaurant was busy and bustling but there was a table available. Lots of travellers enjoying lunch as evidenced by the large number of suitcases and bags dotted... More

Luckily we travelling with a friend who had worked on the railways and lived in Paris for many years - He pre-booked us for Terminus Nord with assurances that we would enjoy it and we really did. There are so many packages on the menu it is was quite challenging to find the best offer. However even the fixed price... More

We went to this place on recommendation of the clerk of our hotel. The waiters are snobby and unfriendly, the menu's are overpriced and not more than ordinary. We both ordered the menu. The cold soup was tasteless, with too much cream in it. The foie gras wasn't hand made, but tasted like fabricated in a very bad machinery. It... More

We had about 2 hours before catching the Eurostar back to London. We got the giant seafood platter, which had a whole lobster (very very fresh and tasty), a whole crab (lots of roe), 4 langoustines, some snail things (chewy but sweet and juicy), lots of oysters of different types, some clams and small shrimp. All the seafood was very... More

We always eat here when we return to Paris, and this must be our eighth visit to Terminus Nord Brasserie 1925. It feels like you are coming home to a comfortable art-deco restaurant with very good and reliable menus, and the most courteous and professional staff. I really do not need to say more other than we deliberately make detours... More
