We had lunch here with our tour group of 17 people in June 2014. It felt nice to dress up for this occasion and lunch in an opulently decorated dining room (we had our own private room). The savory cheese puffs they served as hors d'oeuvre were so delicious, I just ate them one after another…I did have difficulty stopping... More

I liked this a lot better than Laserre - a tiny bit less stuffy although still very formal, the food was a lot better executed. I had the best sole meuniere probably of my life, desserts were delicious. Again, if you like having more waiters for your table than guests in a throwback level of service or if you are... More

My husband and I visited Paris for our 20th anniversary and celebrated with a dinner at Taillevent. We found the service, ambience and food to be excellent and were pleased with our decision to invest in a memory here, because as noted elsewhere, the prices are gasp-inducing. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a wonderful table. The maitre d'... More

The food was average to good quality. The staff was in a bad mood, did not smile, was not attentive. The food is absolutely over priced for its quality. Sorry to say that i do not recommend this place.

Coming from Australia we generally don't wear jackets to a restaurant! Thankfully we were supplied with two at the door. We had an 8 course degas with wines selected by the sommelier. The food was superb and the wines ... We had Montrachet ! ... Delightful. The staff were all of my vintage, old, and so much fun. Our waiter... More

I have had meals that were expensive for the sake of being expensive, and I have experienced Taillevent, which is worth every Euro. Yes the food is more traditional French cuisine, but done to the highest standards that I have ever encountered. This is the definitive fine dining experience. The room is elegant without being stuffy. The staff was beyond... More

You COULD spend thousands of Euros on lunch here ( have a look at the wine book) OR you could go for lunch and enjoy this place for a a couple of hundred....With 3 course lunch menus with wine going for 108 Euro ( 88 without the 2 glasses of wine) , this famous restaurant becomes a possibility...Knowing that the... One of the best restaurants in Paris. Really perfect service ,maybe 50 or 100 waitress around you. First one for the left hand, second for the right hand, third for napkin, fourth acccompanies you to WC and so on. Very good meal, but not excellent. Really fantastic choice of wines. And on end you have to pay these 50 waitress

My husband and I ate lunch here today. Everything was wonderful; we were seated in a wood paneled room that felt very felt very clubby and masculine. As a previous reviewer noted, there were very few women in the room-a few couples, but the lunch clientele seemed to be French movers and shakers doing a business lunch. The wait staff... More

5 of us traveling from Bordeaux and Burgundy had accumulated a few bottles of wine that had to be drank before our departure to the States, so we brought a couple of large formats, one white and one red to enjoy with our meal here. We inquired with our server (that's what i'll call him since a waiter would not... More
