Very elegant French Restuarant

From the entry door to the table. From the first of our pre dinner tasters to the final course of the taster menu, this restaurant oozes elegance. Its the most French of French restaurants but has slightly less formal style than say 5 years ago. Waiters make every effort to engage with guests. Food... read more

My last visit in Sep 2015 was every bit as enjoyable as my prior trip in Jul 2008. The service is truly on another level and Mr. Ancher is just as gracious as I remembered. The staff is impeccably trained and so skilled at anticipating your needs. The wine list -- as formidable as it gets -- is well priced... More

This was one of the best lunch experiences I've ever had. I had the fixed price menu and it was delicious. The service was amazing and very kind. The food was excellent & the presentation was remarkable.

I always come back here because it epitomizes great French cuisine and fine dining. Came for lunch (it offers the option of a lower priced menu option, which is truly a great bargain) and sat in the first dining room. Both dining rooms are equally beautiful (have dined in the other one before). This time the room was filled with... More

Second time here, this time with my wife. We didn't hold back and had the tasting menu. Amuse bouches of foie gras set the tone.... what we ate was wonderful. The crab dish that followed was a visual masterpiece and was subtle and elegant in a way you don't expect of crab. Then the signature lobster sausage with a wonderful... More

The superlatives are understandable, the criticism beside the point. This is one of the very best restaurants that we have visited, but not everybody may like this sort of ambiance. It is quiet, luxurious, service perfect. The dishes we had may have had classical names, but each of them were different in taste from anything I have had in the... More

An oasis of tranquility close to the arc the triumph. This place remind me a little bid of the old private clubs in London and immediately provides a welcoming comfortable atmosphere, within the limits of being a fine dining restaurant. The lunch tasting menu for 88EUR ( or 104 EUR including drinks) is perfect value for exquisite food and provide... More

I was quite disappointed with my recent visit. Staffs were very "high class" that guests can't relax. The dining rooms were rather quiet like exam room. Feels like they are judging guests. Menu were not extensive and very expensive. Compare to Tour d'Argent which is equally well known and long established, I much prefer Tour d'Argent. Their Crepe Suzette were... More

My husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary with a trip to Europe and we both agree that Taillevent was one of the highlights. As soon as we entered the door, we were treated so well, given a wonderful table and made to feel right at home. We decided to have the dinner with wine pairing which was so... More
