Not worth it. Find someplace else.

This place is famous, but overpriced, and if you can find some place in Paris that is better do it. My suggestion is dine at La Tour d'Argent. For the same prices, get the view, meal and memories.

We have visited Le Taillevent with high hopes based on the history of the restaurant and the generally good reviews it has. Unfortunately, however impeccable the service may have been, we have been mostly let down by the food. The starter was especially unappealing with cold and chewy lobster that had a slightly bitter taste. The turbot that followed was... More

Maitre D exchanged the foie gras to a sausage of foie gras without asking us. Smug waiter.... The deputy director said: "the Maitre D substituted the crab remoulade to a cold foie gras because it was your first course and he thought it was much better for you to start with this than a pan-sauteed hot duck-liver which is very... Taillevent is elegant without being stuffy; haute cuisine without being too rich; and has impeccable but not oppressive service. It must be said at the outset that it is breathtakingly expensive: one pays 80-120 euros for appetizers and 100-150 euros for main courses, so one just has to forget about money are remind oneself that one doesn't come to a... In June 5 of us went for lunch to Taillevent in Paris. It's not just a meal but rather a complete gastronomic experience. The service was impeccable and the food superb. If you want an "over the top" dining experience, then don't miss Taillevent in Paris.

My husband and I (both in our early 40s) travel frequently across the world and our favorite interest is fine dining. Taillevent was recommended to us by a close friend who also shares a passion for gastronomy. We chose lunch for our first visit to Taillevent. Neither my husband nor I are completely fluent in French but we tried our... More

Visited Taillevent in July 2015. This was our first 2 star Michelin experience and we were not let down. Started with a house champagne as apitief served with some amazing crayfish. They have a amazing mind blowing exhaustive list of over 3000 wines. The 8 course menu was mouthwatering with a balance of sea food and poultry. The wines suggested... More

Formal but very attentive service. Every course in the tasting menu was delicious. I would definitely return.

Of course we had great expectations. Not just because it has two stars but because its the legendry one and only Taillevent. The restaurant itself as a building is very impressive although these days it has no bar. The actual tables are well laid out and very nice. Service is intensive but unlike a previous visit the waiters' were more... More

The food at this elegant Michelin starred restaurant is well prepared and of high quality though I thought the starters and mains were better than the desserts. There are also good choices for wine. The service, while very professional, felt rather stiff and unwelcoming. Maybe its cultural but perhaps they could scowl a bit less?
