Description: Senderens restaurant in Paris with stunning views toward the church of the Madeleine (Da Vinci Code fans take note) is one of the citys most important restaurants, replete with history and full of exciting modernity. Originally opened in 1890, taken over and redecorated in true Art Deco style in the 1920s, it operated as three-star Lucas Carton until 2005 when chef Alain Senderens gave back the stars, changed the name and transformed the dcor and menu to create this stylish, informal restaurant. The beautiful Art Deco carvings remain, but now the tables are free of starchy linens, the service is relaxed and the dishes are innovative and exotic. Veal tartare with langoustines and rice noodles is stunning, as is the Racan pigeon stuffed with crab meat and poached in Qi Lan tea. The cellar remains a high-end experience. For elegant, sleek, exciting dining in the heart of town, Senderens will delight you.

The waiter greeted us was very cordial, very emotional meals.A festival of flavors, senses and emotions. I recommend the menu degustation to try to feel a little of each wonderful dish.I will introduce my friends to here.

Invited to a business Dinner in a private salon on the first floor I was expecting a the Excellence. Unfortunatly we had an average service, very noisy room located close to a corridor with many waiters passing by. The food was not as good as expected. Too many dishes with sweet stuff which leave you with a mix taste. We... More

The food is rather good Nouvelle, creative but not self-conscious. Our party had the sole with asparagus and a veal dish, both quite good. We liked that on the menu each dish was already paired with a recommended wine by the glass, which saves a lot of thinking and allows patrons to enjoy more variety. The interior decor is stunning.... We booked here for a special occasion treat. Back in October. The decor is different and inviting. Very old France mixed with uber cool. I personally loved this. I'm just little so the only complaint I had was our particular table and booth made it a bit difficult to sit properly and eat. Though this wouldn't be the case for... More

We wanted to love this restaurant because we had chosen it for a special occasion and some of our favorites were not available. It fell short of the mark for fine dining in several respects. To be constructive let's start with what was right. The decor was a mix of Art Deco and Asian. The wood interior was beautiful, the... More

Well located in Madeleine. Honest wine list. Modern french cuisine full of flavors. Exceptional light effects. One of best langoustine my husband ever taste.

We were invited here and didn't pay the bill, so I can't speak for the value. I understand that the menu changes frequently, at the whim of the chef. We all had the five-course dinner, which includes amuse-bouche, three savory dishes, and a dessert. The food was spectacular, and the best that we had in Paris. One of my favorite... More

Food was lovely and well presented. Unfortunately it was not sufficiently outstanding to justify the price (you can eat much better for a fraction of the cost). In particular service was a bit off, we were brought the wrong beverages and often found it difficult to catch the attention of the staff.

The decor is super modern, you should book downstairs in the main room for the best atmosphere. Upstairs can be rented for large groups, but I did not like the decor with too many curtains when i had a quick look. Also, based on some remarks from another guest, do not show up at a restaurant before 8:30pm in France,... More

We had the pleasure to experience the famous Lucas-Carton restaurant when A. Senderens was still the Chef. It was a magnificent place. Today, only his name remained. Service is at the level of a Brasserie. Food is disappointing with a limited choice of dishes prepared in advance. Burgos pork was almost cold and with little interest. We had just the... More
