Go for the tasty pho

Rain kept pouring down in Paris, and weather too cold to be in May. So it was good to slurp a good pho. We ordered 3 pho (#1 special) and 1 small pho with only beef balls for my son. Broth was very nice, rice noodle was thick, al dente, tender beef slices (although a bit thick), and chewy beef... read more

We have eaten a lot of pho in Melbourne and Vietnam, so we are very familiar with the flavours and textures. We had a large pho and vermicelli with grilled beef. The key ingredient - beef - was fresh but in our opinion, not as tasty as Australian beef. As for the pho, the soup and noodles were ok, let... More

Very good Thai restaurant near Place d'Italie. Food was fresh and very delicious. Reasonable prices, good services. Might be crowded, but it is definitely worth waiting!:)

When I was a kid, this restaurant used to be an institution. That's why and when they got all those good references in guides and magazines. About 2 years ago I came back and felt the difference! It is actually the opposite and even dangerous to eat there since the change of owner (not an asian by the way...) If... More

Feeding the pho addiction continues, Paris edition! We went aaaaaall the way down to the 13eme to investigate the pho situation. When we arrived (maybe 9 pm?) there was a queue outside, but it moved very quickly and we were seated within 10 minutes. This space is cramped, the tables are so close together that you often can't get out... More

This restaurant is probably the most popular pho place in Paris and for good reasons. The broth is so delicious, I haven't found a pho restaurant as good. They only serve pho and a few appetizer options (the fried spring rolls or "nem" are very good too). The price is reasonable, less than EUR 10 per dish (cash only). If... More

One of those Asian restaurants where the tables are inordinately close together - didn't stop us from having a great meal. Fast food and good.

Tasted their pho back in 2013 and when i know I'm coming paris i know i need a visit to satisfy my craving. What more can you ask for a piping hot bowl of pho soup which taste so nice with crunchy beansprouts and mint leave which add refreshing fragrance. The price of small and large are differ by €0.50... Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighborhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
