Having read the reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to try Paul Chene - it was within walking distance of our hotel, we knew we would be handsomely fed and could expect a lavish reception. And that's exactly what happened.

Truly one of the best meals that we have ever eaten and we have sampled a number of fine restaurants all over the world. On a trip to France with family ad celebrate our granddaughter 18Th birthday we indulged at Paul Chene. The size is small but this allows for very personal and intimate service. No fast service or past... More

This was our second visit to Paul Chene. We went last year and it was such a great experience we knew we had to come back. Not only is the food exceptional but it's the whole experience that makes this restaurant so special. Harold is very friendly, funny, and charming. During my November 2014 trip to Paris I had the wonderful opportunity of dining at Paul Chêne. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted and welcomed into their beautiful, quaint, and intimate space. The service was top notch, the food was delicious and meticulously prepared, and the atmosphere was perfect for our small group.

This is the first time I come to Paris. I and my friend want to experience a traditional French food in Pairs and we choose Paul Chene. It is a very nice restaurant with high quality service and very delicious food. Both the fish soup and foie gras are very yummy. What makes me impressive is that the boss of... More

Phenomenal food, wine and hospitality. Seems like a "throwback" restaurant - and it definitely has the character, ambience and setting for that - but the total experience is 'today!' We had an incredibly fun time while dining on some of the best food in Paris.

Harold was tremendous at making recommendations on both food and wine. From the moment we walked in we were treated like family. The restaurant was also able to provide numerous items for my celiac / diabetic friend. Everything is made to order. Sit back, relax, drink some wine and enjoy the delicious food.

Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
