A good friend set up a reservation at Paul Chene for 12 of us. The meal was outstanding! The chateaubriand and white asparagus was to die for. The wine was excellent and the service was second to none. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

It was perfect in every way. It was exactly what I was looking for in fine French cuisine. The service was perfect and the atmosphere felt like being in a warm family home.

Paul Chene is our favorite restaurant in Paris. We have been there three times so far and we never were disappointed. I really like some of the classical French menu items like the veal kidney in a mustard sauce but the menu has enough choices to satisfy most tastes. The restaurant’s cozy atmosphere with about only 10 to 12 tables... More

Granted, I was skeptical after reading these other comments if this restaurant would truly live up to it's 5 star rating. I walked out of this restaurant trying to think of anything another meal I had that was so good—I'm still coming up blank. This restaurant is an absolute must-go. For authentic, richly flavored French food this place is perfect.... More

I say "Locals Only" because this would be my go to restaurant if I lived in Paris. BUT -tourist are welcomed with open arms. First, the bread is simply the best bread I have ever had. I know this is a bold statement - but it is fresh, hot, crunchy on the outside with a solf delicious inside. I ordered... More

Worth crossing the Atlantic for a superb, authentic French diner and wonderful service. I am a vegetarian but eat fish and had plenty to choose from on the menu. Home made with fresh produce and ingredients "Haute Cuisine". Everyone in the family was thrilled. I recommend Paul Chene to my friends visiting Paris and all have always been extremely happy... This review is long overdue but after reminiscing I thought it only fair to share our experience. We dined in Paul Chene just after they had re opened in the summer of 2013. Consequently, we were the only people who dined that evening but our host made us feel welcome and attended to our needs whilst being very friendly. We... More

Good recommendations from the waiter. Dover sole resp scrambled eggs with black truffels for main. Happiness continued. We both had merengue desserts and we agreec that this was amongst the best... Having read the reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to try Paul Chene - it was within walking distance of our hotel, we knew we would be handsomely fed and could expect a lavish reception. And that's exactly what happened.

Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
