Service is good and the carte is quite long, without the multicultural "if it's from Asia we cook it" approach of too many Paris Chinese. Dim sum are fresh and home-made (rare in a city where the tang brothers have a near monopoly on supplying bland identical pieces to all the restaurants). Peking duck is done properly as a full... This is a good, for the money ,Chinese restaurant in Paris. The service is well-coming and warm. They have specially good attention for customer who have visited them before. I like all their dishes; especially the duck lacquer, the spare ribs with 5 perfumes, the toast Madame Butterfly ...

This restaurant is across the street from the charming Passy indoor market. We stopped in on a national holiday when seemingly every other restaurant was closed. It is superbly decorated and makes a good first impression. The headwaiter is one of those pompous unfriendly types who were the hallmark of great Parisian restaurants forty years ago. However, food is not... More

The average rating is for the initial reception we received upon entering the nearly empty restaurant without a reservation. Of course, our fault, but we were indeed seated. The dumplings/dim sum were also very forgettable, with the skin falling apart immediately, indicating they were not in house made; however, they did taste fine. We ordered friend noodles with shrimp were... More

We arrived at Passy Mandarin around 8:00 pm on December 30. The maitre d' seemed nonplussed that we did not have a reservation. Once we were seated we got the menus quick. The maitre d' who was also our waiter was a bit argumentative with a native speaker in our group when she asked specific questions about the dishes. Once... More

I have been here many times over the years, and have never found fault. The service is warm and caring, and the dim sum are some of the most delightful I have ever had. In November (and on through January) they have Coquilles St. Jacques a la vapeur, with a bit of spicy sauce, which is SO worth the trip... More

The ladies in here are nice. Food is fair. I usually carry out and eat at home. Sometimes the chicken has some tough pieces and bones when you don't expect them.
