A Lovely Tea Shop.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place after visiting the Louvre and we loved it here! There's so many choices for tea, but I'm a fan of Darjeeling so that helped me narrow it down, however if in doubt simply ask for recommendations! It's so nice in here and we'd definitely go back for some... read more

Incredible experience! I was overwhelmed by choices! We were referred to go there by a french friend of mine and it did not dissapoint. We were handed a huge booklet of tea suggestions and chose the Marco polo tea and ended up purchasing some at the little tea shop downstairs. The deserts are gorgeous and the service is perfection. A beautiful tea shop in a beautiful area. If you are a tea drinker, don't miss this world class tea shop. One of my favorites is the French Breakfast.

I have had tea at Mariage Freres around Paris, as well as in Tokyo, Japan. They are all fascinating places. Entering one is taking a trip back in time, walking through the sales room, surrounded by shelves full of canisters of tea, from wall to wall and up to the ceiling: hundreds of varieties. An oriental flair continues into the... More

If you're a tea lover who also believes in women's equality, you may be dismayed to find there are no women working here, except at the cash register. Not high-class enough for this precious tea?

A very fancy, very special tea-time experience in Paris. They have what seems like millions of different types of teas as well as light meals and desserts, all tea-related. A wonderful experience every time!

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
