I love tea, so when I arrived I felt like a little girl in a candy shop. Unfortunately there wasn't any one helping me to explain the different teas so I went ahead and looked around. I'm either case I found some to my liking and when I went to the counter they rang up my order fine. We also... read more

We look for a special, High Afternoon Tea when we travel. When we saw the new Spring Menu here we thought we'd give it a try. Wow! Delicious! Full sandwiches, tea, scones, champagne (with tea syrup) and we didn't need dinner later on.

If you are a tea lover, this is the place for you. So many exquisite options that the choices can be overwhelming. When in doubt of what to try or what to buy I always ask what is the best seller. The answer Marco Polo. I never would have chosen it on my own but after tasting it, it is... More

I returned to this fabled tea maker, bringing a friend and having looked forward to the experience with great expectation. We planned to shop then have lunch. We happened to get landed with a shop assistant who was either useless or decided to be when we clearly were not french. I asked about 'Milk Oolong' to which he replied that... More

A good friend took us there to have the most surreal cup of tea and pastries. This is not just a tea shop it is a snapshot back in time to a different age. The staff are immaculately presented in their linen suits. The whole atmosphere is calm and serene and gave a welcome break from exploring the city

Dropped in to get some tea for a friend. "We've never sold that kind of tea." Which is odd as my friend has the packet. At 9 euros 100g I expected it to be gold. The old-fashioned cashier girl was nice, but the salesperson was pretentious and the prices ludicrous.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
