some of the best lebanese food

We went to Liza earlier this month during a trip to Paris. My husband had eaten there before and wanted to take me. I am very happy he did. While a bit pricey, it is worth it. We had a selection of platters all which were very good. The Chicken Taouk (cooked perfectly) was served on small potatoes... read more

Went for lunch and were delighted with the food and the service. Had not previously been exposed to Lebanese food. The menu allowed each of us to try wonderful small bites and mint tea. The service helped to enhance our visit and to gain an appreciation for this food.

Coming back to a place where you have been many times and always felt at home is risky: you can be upset if things are no longer as good as before. The people who decided to change Liza made a big mistake: they turned it from a classy restaurant to a soul-less eaterie with paper napkins, Ikea cutlery and pitta... More

I went there with a friend and had a wonderful culinary experience! Menu is full of options, you can go for appetizers (huge portions!), small bites, or a complete hot choice. Try hummus, taboulè, anything is great. Service: excellent.

Lebanese restaurant, just some minutes away from metro station "Bourse", in the 2nd arrondissement. We had made a reservation the day before (otherwise the restaurant would have not have any available table) and wanted to try something "different". We had some Dips, Kebbes, Falafel, Taboulé and Moussaka. The food was good and tasty. We had finally some baklawa and a... More

We had lunch at Liza today ! My daughter lives in Paris and it is one of her favourite places. The food is lighter than normal lebanese food. I took the menu for 21 Euros "minced lamb and fried aubergine with a yogurt sauce and a salad both exellent. My husband and my daughter had a meal on a tray... More

Quaint and charming place with superb cuisine. The food was delicious, especially the Chiche Touk nestled on a mound of small round potatoes with garlic cream. Very helpful and attentive staff. The pita bread with hummus dip suitably whets one's appetite for the main course and the place has repeat value. We had a late dinner and were the last... More

We visited the restaurant during a day at the Louvre. It's just a short 10 minute walk away and helps to break up the day when visiting the museum. We found it through Time Out Paris. We visited for lunch and were able to get a table straight away. It wasn't massively busy, so don't feel you need to reserve.... More

Visiting Paris for the weekend, I found this restaurant recommended by Time Out Paris and rightfully so. Except for the fact that they accept bookings for Sunday brunch at 12:00 and do not open a minute before (beware on a cold winter day!) everything else was outstanding: the service friendly, helpful and speaks English to explain the food. The brunch... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
